Private Messages

You can send private messages to every user of GEWar.
Private messages are often used to for diplomacy, trading, exchanging info etc, because they are private. Noone else than the recipients can read private messages you sent.
You can enter several recipients in your private message and all recipients will read who else got it but you can add names of users to the BCC ("blind carbon copy") field to send them the message secretly.
One possibility to access private messages is to click on the number of unread messages on the upper right corner of game page and then click on the "Send new message" link on the left side of the page. The page recognizes the recipient's name while you type and makes suggestions.
You can also click on the name of a user displayed in the header of a forum post and choose "Send a private message to...".
Or search on the forum's members list for the user you want to send a message and display her/his user profile. Below his user name there is a button "send message", choose "Send a private message to..."
If you don't want to receive private messages you can disable it in "Edit Options" of the User CP (User Control Panel) link on the left side of the top menu bar of the forum pages.
Messages per email
Alternatively, you can enable to allow users to send you messages per email. In this case the forum will send an email to the address you entered in your CP without telling the sender your email address.
