Jewels and Resources
From GEWar Manual
There are many ways of earning geos. Jewels and resources are one of the most important, in particular when you are starting a game.

Jewels
The purpose of jeweling is to earn Geos during the game, either at the beginning or in emergency situations.
You can also download a kmz file to help you find jewels faster. The link to the file can be found in the Jewel Problems thread.
In order to jewel you need to activate the "jewels" radio button in the resources folder of your kml file. You will be asked to find location x and you need to go there, not higher than about 30km. Then a jewel symbol will pop up, you can pick it up by clicking on the "yes" link. A page will appear in your browser where you have to identify numbers from a captcha. After entering them the jewel will be credited into your account and you can find the next one.
Note: If you own 25,000 geos (or over), a total of 10,000,000 city value, or over 75,000 troops, you cannot jewelhunt anymore. Only Donators are an exception to this rule.
Resources
For detailed instructions on planting a resources, please Click Here
Resources available in GEWar are Fish, Oil, Cotton, Diamonds and Uranium. They are produced by assets set up using the Resources tool within your KMZ files. Once you set an asset (Fishing boat, Oil well, Cotton field, Diamond mine or Uranium processing plant), the field area is disabled and you will not be able to set another for the next 23 hours.
Resources have different functions such as moving armies, manufacturing nukes. They can also be converted to geos or offered for sale on the Market.
Assets expire after some random time. Diamond mines have a high output but short life, while cotton has lower production but much longer life. Uranium has the smallest output, it will take you over a week to gather enough material to manufacture a nuke. The cost of an asset is 50 geos.
If you are going to be on holiday for a longer period of time it is recommended to use the Vacation Mode to avoid that your assets expire.
Fish
A fishing boat will gather between 20 and 9,000 fish over it's lifetime.
Bonus city: the current owner of Merimbula, Australia will get 4% of yours and every other user's fish as taxes.
Oil
You need oil to move your armies (see Army Movement).
Bonus city: the current owner of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will get 4% of yours and every other user's oil as taxes.
Cotton
Bonus city: the current owner of Atlanta, United States of America will get 4% of yours and every other user's cotton as taxes.
Diamond
Bonus city: the current owner of Cape Town, South Africa will get 4% of yours and every other user's diamonds as taxes.
Uranium
Bonus city: the current owner of Irkutsk, Russia will get 4% of yours and every other user's uranium as taxes.
Uranium is the resource needed to manufacture nukes.

Note: If you have no city but more than 25,000 geos you won't earn resources or bank interest. Only Donators are an exception to this rule.
