Overview
Cities are the basic elements of the game. The most important parameter of a city is its city value, the number of inhabitants. The total number of cities a player owns and the Player Value are stored on the profile page of the player and the player top list. The player value increases or decreases slowly (0.6% per hour) to reach the total value of all cities a player owns.
To own a city you must attack it and kill all the armies inside, either you send an army to attack it (see Soldier System and Army Movement) or you fire nuke(s) on the city. If the nuking succeeds you can attack the city and kill the Militia as soon as the radiation clears. Any unoccupied city is guarded by at least 100 troops of militia.
You as owner of a city have the possibility to attack armies outside your city, this is a widely used strategy to avoid being attacked first. But if you have only one army in the city and lose while attacking another one outside, the city will become unoccupied.
If you have no city but more than 25,000 geos you won't earn resources and geos. Only Donators are an exception to this rule.
Taxes
Every city you own brings in some geos paid from the inhabitants of your cities. The minimum tax earned per city is 100 geos per day. The city Tokyo, Japan is the highest value city and the owner of the city recieves a daily city income of 634.38 geos.
Attack history
On the bottom of a city page you can see the latest attacks on the city. You can read the name of the attacker, the defender, the number of killed troops and who won the battle.
Your owned cities table
A table on the lower right side of the gewar pages shows a list of your cities with value, number of armies (and how much troops they have in total) inside and you can see if there are armies traveling to your city.
Military upgrades for cities
- Nuke shield: Provides protection against nuclear weapons on your city. But two or more nukes possibly destroy your shield and then another nuke would kill your armies inside and leave the city unoccupied for a while till radiation clears. A nuke shield costs 250 geos.
- Nuke silo: A nuke silo is needed to be able to fire a nuke from your city. A nuke silo costs 500 geos
Cities List
You can check the list of occupied and unoccupied cities by clicking on the "Cities" dropdown menu on any GEWar page. There is the option to filter by country, switch between occupied and unoccupied cities and you can search for a city. The table of cities can be sorted by name or value by clicking on one column on top of the table.
