As the story goes, god created light. So, the question is, if he created light, then by logic, darkness existed first. Without light, you have.....dark. Now we must ask if human reasoning dictates that light is 'good', and dark is 'evil' then two possibilities exist.
1) god was dark before the light, meaning he/she was evil.
2) darkness spawned god, whom then creates light. Meaning god was created by evil.
Two possible answers to what was before the light.
Why would "god" not be able to see in the dark? Sounds a bit odd. An omnipotent bieng that can't see in something created by said being? Unless of course you follow thought 2 in this case, then your thought makes sense.

Thanks for the time...
What links dark to evil, dark could have been what light is known as know
Then to look at your words in a metaphoric sense, god is evil then good.
who ever said god was evil, dark could have been good until light and then dark and light where both good, and over the years dark has been associated with evil
God was in Heaven and created the Earth.
Think of the Earth as a cake. It's not a cake until it has all of the ingredients added.
But would you make a cake in the dark?
Light and dark are relevant to the Earth, not to God or Heaven. So there was "light" in Heaven.
If you use the human thinking that light is good and dark is evil, then you must use the line of thought that white is good and black is bad. Be careful going down that path.

wow, your getting philisophical here. nice!
hmm, dark as good. Something I've always thought. If dark was good, then could not evil be good, until someone said evil was bad, and created good?
Next, why can't god be both good and evil. Afterall, in all things in the universe, there is a positive and negative. Would not god be the same? In which case a lot of things in our lives past and present would make much more sense.

I would not say that god is evil but there is some proof that he can be bad, raining for 40 days and nights, the bombing of the WTC's, and last but definately not least the creation of Michael Jackson!!
