I think it should stay at 10min. Makes it a little easier but not too easy...

The way it is now is more realistic(how it was at first, was a bit too far), but I think we did kinda established in the past that it might be too hard to really put it to use then. As planning to intercept became too hard and relying on luck more than strategy.

How about something in between? Between realistic and how it was?

Well before I change anything, I'll let some players test it some more. I'd like to see if they would be able to intercept the army they want to intercept.
