Opinions on the new server

Is it ok to have a thread giving feedback on the new server please?

If it is then I for me the game has certainly got slower viz a v the refresh rate of each and every page.
Also, is it my imagination or is it running really really slow? "your army will arrive at x" is longer in actual time than the displatyed time. ie 10 mins for me seems to be 15 mins.
Maybe the two go hand in hand. Maybe it's a settling in thing.

Am I alone in this ?

I have only moved a couple of armies, and haven't really noticed a huge delay time, but I usually don't keep track.

I've noticed that the speed is about the same as the old provider most of the time, but then I see a hiccup and things start to load slower. I also noticed that the militia have no name so that script may not be completing correctly.

For me again it's really fast. But so was the previous server. Perhaps because I live so close to where it is located?

Technically it would also be impossible for a quad core server to be slower than a double core server. So if it for some is, then something else is up.

Funny, my mate who owns a computer company would disagree about the quad core/double core arguement.
I wonder if it's a browser thing.
I use firefox 5. I know datafly says he uses google chrome and never has speed probs ?

Um Luke.. not saying it is or isnt but it is very easy for a quad to be slower... rethink that thought.

Explain?

Faster connection speed, rest of specs the same but a quad core instead of dual core.

That is not what you said. And what's the back end? Os? Load. You made a blanket statement. That isn't one. But again, no clue on what you have running in there. Speed seems good to me.

Yes, but I knew the background, so thats why I made it. For me it's not a 'blank/blanket' statement.

Sigh... you make me keep it going ya know.

"Technically it would also be impossible for a quad core server to be slower than a double core server."
Ok that is untrue. If you are saying...
Technically it would also be impossible for This quad core server to be slower than a double core server."
It might be true.

But saying a server is a quad and there for faster than a duel is crap. One might be one gig and one might be 8 gig.
You need to make more of a comparison than just a quad and a duel... same chipset yes but a 2006 quad will get blown away by a 2011 duel...
