Nicklas Lidstrom announced his retirement today. Congratulations on not only a hall of fame career, but on also being a true patriot and ambassador of the game. He will go down as one of the greatest defensemen in the history of this sport. Like him/Detroit or not, if you've watched Lidstrom play live or on TV, you'll know that he is truly one of the greats, and you should consider yourself lucky to have been graced by his presence.
Now I'm rooting on the kings for the win (I was lucky enough to go to the Staples center to watch them play the Bruins earlier this year)
A payout is due for last round, I've posted the number of players' correct answers below, seems nobody had faith in Marty and the Devils. I believe that we aren't allowed to re-choose our Stanley Cup winner pics (GM asked for them at the opening of the game), also not sure if the payout will really be valid since the cup won't be won prior to the end of the round.
-Kings beat vancouver in 5
-Shark beat st-louis in 6
-Coyotes beat chicago in 7
-Wings beat Nashville in 4 ( wings are a playoff team)
-Sens beat Rangers in 7
-Bruins Beat Washington in 5
-New-jersey beats Florida panthers in 6
-Flyers beat pits in 5 (sorry hollow but i feel like flyers gonna make pits pay the price they are much bigger then penguins physicly)

It looks kinda like Regis had one of the better 1st round brackets in terms of who would make it to the cup, too bad he didn't pick one of them for a stanley cup winner. I looked through and unless I overlooked something nobody chose LA or the Devils to win the cup at the beginning of the contest so everyone is disqualified from that part of the game making it easier since the reset is coming anyways.
