I like Prophets idea of 250 jewels a day limited to around 10 geos... I would jewel for sure!!! Also, you could have like a Friday or Saturday night special of 20 geos...I think that would bring some nice attacks on the weekend.

I had an idea once, that most hated, but it was to set the payout per jewel really high (say 10-20 geos) and make it limited to 100-200 a day. It's one of the most unique and underutilized parts of the game. Right now, people only hate it because they have to work exceptionally hard to make it worth their while, and this makes it easier to justify.

Just a thought.
OMG!
Absolutely genius idea!
And cash's suggestion also is quite resonable and fair!

Ya,10geos/jewel,250 jewels a day limit, but the sweet weekends 20geos/jewel or limits to 300 is perfect!

What about jewels increase in value the more you collect. Plus special extra value ones. But my favourite idea is a big sign explaining where to get a decent jewel finding file.
Not stuff hidden in the forums but when you first down load the jewel file a pop up tells you about speeding up the search and which jewel file is up to date.
just a thought

Whoa - Try 7 minutes or so for each 50 jewels, and I'm pretty slow.

Once upon a time I remember the max jewels being 600 per day. To tell you the truth (as a player, not staff) I think that limiting the number of jewels per day and having some sort of incremental value is a great idea. Say:

1 - 200 = x value
201-400 = x value x2 (y value)
401-500 = y value x2

Now that would get people jeweling, an dultimately would make Luke some money to offset the cost of the servers.

I always liked the jewel cap, it gives everyone the opportunity to jewel the exact same amount and like everyone is suggesting make the jewels worth more and the jewels you can do less per day...

This is the first round I'm not jeweling (don't have the time). If jewels however were 5 or 10 geos each I would make time
