Back in Feb/Mar/Apr 2006, a ragtag group of players were having a lot of fun, but were unable to hold a city in North America for any length of time. There were so many players vying for the continent that when you opened up Google Earth the army trails obliterated the entire land mass. They had one alliance mate that was able to successfully hold a couple of cities in South Africa. After much debate, it was decided to uproot homebases and relocate the entire alliance to the Dark Continent (well less one who had a unhealthy obesession with Miami). At the time, most of the players were fairly new and really were not all that active on the forums, GEWar consisted of jeweling, attacking, and trying to defend. Many players contacted staff members and asked to have homebases reset (there was no option to buy one back then). The continent was scrutinized for cities held by independent players and of course by those alliances that would not allow them to gain a foothold in North America. Of course the amount of African cities was much less then than now, probably a grand total of about 50-70 cities (maybe less). This group was able to capture enough cities to begin to become known in the game, a tenuous understanding with other large alliances to the north and south were reached and the alliance was allowed to thrive in Central Africa. There was always the desire to conquer the entire continent, but as the amount of cities grew, the task seemed all that much more daunting and since the alliance was prospering, those plans never came to fruition, that is until now. Great work guys! You have done the memory of TLI proud! ;bravo

maybe for an alliance with 40+ people but for a small alliance like TLI this was a good challenge. And I too would be impressed if someone took all of Asia.
