what do the stars mean that show up in a new column for top players and alliances?

nevermind, I just saw Luke's post about this.

Winners of last round. Both alliances and players. And both for end-stats as well as for the endgame. Their trophies.

New minigame for a star coming this weekend.

Remember you get to keep those stars even after a reset.

Only appearance might still change. Like when there are too many, I might change a single star to bronze, and 3 stars to gold...or something like that. But the basics are there.

Why do you need stars?
I find it disturbs - wouldnt a hall of fame be appropiate?

I like the stars, they are not disturbing.

A hall of fame would be a cool thing, though, but I guess such a project would have low priority because of Luke's issues with alpha game etc.

I love the stars! just need to add some more to it now! :)

because its the top 3... score and value :)

First place each reset wins 3 stars. Second place wins 2 stars, third place wins 1 star.
Same counts for players.

But at the end of this round, you'll only have 1 score system to base it on. Last reset we had 2 score systems(score and value).

Now this round there are more stars to be won. This weekend a very tough minigame will start for a playerstar.
