View Full Version : Your Armies page suggestion
toiletduck 01-13-2006, 03:23 AM Currently it shows your armies all in one table.
How about splitting the tables so you have three tables.
One for Travelling armies
One for outside cities
and one for cities you hold
cos playing in the test game i have 26 cities and my armies page is all over the place and its hard to keep tabs on things.
Thats a great idea, TD, and should be relatively easy to do.. Luke, Dani?

toiletduck 01-13-2006, 03:31 AM im full of good ideas.
Brendo 01-13-2006, 03:46 AM The best you can do for the moment, is rename your armies.
eg:
Travelling Army A
Travelling Army B
City Name Army 1
City Name Army 2
Nothing can be done about Outside armies though
toiletduck 01-13-2006, 03:51 AM its a suggestion Brendo. it would make it easier for everyone in the game in the long run if armies were in three different tables.
Back in the prehistoric days I suggested color coding for armies. You would be able to select a color for each army if you wanted, so they'd show up better in the list. Have all the ones going to a certain city marked red, the ones already in cities marked blue and the ones on the way to one of Timmie's cities pink since he's actually a girl.

*chuckles* poor Tim  she must be so confused
Love this birq, then you can even distinguish armies you have heading to one city from another :) different shades..

toiletduck 01-13-2006, 03:58 AM color coding would be ok. but it would still make it look all weird. im talking about listing all your armies into groups so its all neat and so when you want to go find armies that are OUTSIDE cities you only have to look at a certain table instead of scrolling through all your armies.
Imagine if you have over 200 armies and you had to scroll through the list to find the one that is outside a city
A combination of the two ideas would totally rock :)

Yep I know, I was just giving you a suggestion on what you can do in the mean time.:)
Diablo09 01-13-2006, 04:23 AM Imagine if you have over 200 armies and you had to scroll through the list to find the one that is outside a city
You would have to know the city first, but all you would have to do is hit ctrl+f to bring up Find, then type in all or part of the city name, and it will search for it on that page.
Edit: That's what I do when I'm searching the Occupied Cities page to find what ever city I am looking for fast.
toiletduck 01-13-2006, 04:27 AM im aware of the find function. i dont need current fixes. im just talking about suggestions

You can try and keep a thread on track, but it hardly ever works :p
We know it is a suggestion, we are just offering things to do in the mean time - it may not be of any help to you, but there are others who like to know this sort of thing.
Another way to find things is to use the Google Toolbar Word Find.
