Okay, I have two.
The first one is my own attack:
16:52:07 - January 28th, 2006 The city of Indore, India was attacked by zinc. 1 defending army (9,136 troops) was killed in the battle. 2,454 attacking troops were killed. Vater Theresa lost the city.

The next one is two. The first one is only to prove he wasn't weakened by an earlier attack. The second one is the funny one:

at 5 geos city tax a day, it will be almost 2 years before the current owner (and this may change as more armies are outside and on the way) recoups their investment.....

Today I just spend 2x the troops as someone getting a city, and then he spent 1/2 my defending troops getting it back. I'm cursed I tell you! Cursed!

You might not think that outragous, or funny.. But notice this. The defender lost exactly 5000 troops AND KEPT THE CITY. How often do you see such a clean number of kills and the person's army/city was not destroyed?

yes, I canīt forget these... I will be very humble and put here how many troops I lost there, since I think everybody wants to know: it was 150K troops.
btw, 10 minutes before I got nuked, I removed one army of 213K to send to Cape Town (the second attack). My lost was HUGE on Port Elizabeth, but hopefully I did this last movement before... If I didnīt, I would probably commit suicide and give up of the game...

I actually watched the latest activity for a while and found out that even small towns need to be able to fund a 1000 troops a day. Thats why the smallest town starts at 75 geos.
But putting like 30k troops in a small town is a little bit ridiculous....now I see that it is necessary as the attacker there had even more...

I think few players hold small cities with 30k. Normally it makes more sense to lose a city from time to time and build up the necessary troops to take it back as needed.
Perhaps we should increase troop upkeep costs a bit, to disuade players from storing huge armies in every little city and give newbies a better chance. Besides, city infrastructure will make it easier to hold cities with less troops, right?

75 geos is daily upkeep for about 20K in troops
Many people look at upkeep not troop costs
That is the problem. It was configured to the upkeep cost only of the maximum troops that should be in a city of that value.
What was forgotten was the actual losses someone makes a day.
I took 5 cities of different value and watched the losses for over a week.
I took the losses and devided them by 2 to get to the city tax we have now.
The other half is your own risk...and you can compensate them later in the game with infrastructure.

the developers claim it's totally random, but based on the attacks i've received in the last 40 hours and the nice odds i've been given in almost every attack, i'd say the good guys are favoured

Completely random at the moment(and I do say at the moment still).
Every soldier can kill upto 4 others.
It's like that because when you(fictional) put 2 armies out there to fight eachother with the exact same weapons and exact same training, a real battle would be random also. It wouldn't be 1:1. It could even be 1:6 eventually though most battles on here are still pretty close. Mostly 1:2 or something.

the ratio on this one was fairly normal but its a very even casualty rate (110,000 on the dot.) considering the number of armies and troops involved.

That attack was in the favour of Warren actually. Anthony lost about 90k more.
