Is it possible to have a page where I could search for a player, I got a PM from a player but couldn't tell if he was in an alliance or what if any cities he owned. Maybe i just can't find the page.

Otherwise you need to sort the list by name and either click many times on >> Next Page >> or guess the page number and type it directly into the URL field of your browser. Unless there is a faster/better way I ignore now, we'd really need a player search field. And soon a city search field too :p Lenin 01-10-2006, 07:33 PM WOW. yes i was just going to ask for the same thing. It would be great to have a little seach box where you can look up info on any player. Brendo 01-10-2006, 08:16 PM Hmmm... I'm sure that has been on the TO DO list for ages. Addict 01-10-2006, 09:39 PM Easier way I think ... lookup their member number here from the URL you get when clicking on their forum profile. ie .. Gen. George S. Patton, the URL for your forum profile is http://www.gewar.net/forums/member.php?u=966 Take the 966 (from the end of the URL), and put it on the end of the following (which displays the users *game* profile) http://www.gewar.net/war/playerinfo.php?user= ie, Gen. George S. Patton's would be http://www.gewar.net/war/playerinfo.php?user=966 Worked for the few that I just tested it on anyway. Of course, you can also do the same in reverse .. ie, get their number from the GEWar profile, and substitute it in the forum profile ID URL. Thats a good (but tedious) alternatve. :cheer Timmetie 01-11-2006, 01:21 PM well, that would then have to be coded. Brendo 01-11-2006, 01:23 PM well, that would then have to be coded. Harsh but fair. As always :p sbba 01-12-2006, 10:12 PM Is it possible to have a page where I could search for a player, I got a PM from a player but couldn't tell if he was in an alliance or what if any cities he owned. Maybe i just can't find the page. this may be old, but i was looking for another thread and noticed it. i always have GE open, and it lists home bases by owner. single click the blue and you get the owner bubble, click owner you get allliance.... not short but it works now. Sinner 01-12-2006, 11:16 PM Another nice feature.... go to quick links and scroll to the bottom... it lets you see who is currently on-line from your alliance and enemies... |
