It seems to be possible to actually attack your allys troops, so that would be a nice thing to remove if at all possible (yeah trust etc, and I know none of my allys do - the point is it doesnt feel professional being given the option to attack).
Would it be possible to only list allys in the donation at the bank, or maybe put them at the top of the list?
Just some minor things really, but to me it seems there isn't a huge differrence between your allies and every other player in the game.

I didnt get the part above there, might need some more explaining.
but about the alliances meaning more, i think we're all agreed, they're pretty useless atm, just convenient.
But as you start giving alliances bonusses, you also have to make the breaking of an alliance harder. So someone who backstabs an alliance should do REAL damage.
give them advantages, but also big disadvantages if you just start inviting everyone.

I just meant that if your allys army is waiting outside one of your citys, they get the option to attack you (not a very allyish thing to do! :p )
and the owner of the city has the option to attack ally troops atnding outside a city also.

aah yes, ive done that lots of times. well this can be coded along with alliance armies not turning your cities green/red.
I have always been against enforcing alliances in code. If I want to go and attack an ally, I should darn well be able to. Now it would be good to have a kind of "ignore" list where you can pick who to include and exclude in the attack list and bank transfer list, but I think that's an extremely low priority thing.

Maybe in that case at least change the text on attack to something differrent like "Playername is an ally, betray and attack them anyway?" or something along those lines.
Might be good if your depositing into a non-ally account in the bank if there was a quick confirmation before it continues like "Playername is not one of your allies, deposit Geos to their account anyway?"

i agree in birq with saying that those safeguards are just a waste of code, but i am for giving alliances some more advantages.
