there should be an special bonus for the player or alliance who conquests all cities on a country or a continent, like in the real war game.
I was thinking that maybe the country bonus could be for players and continent bonus for alliances. if an alliance holds all cities on a continent, all taxes would rise 10-25% or something like that and all chances against attacking armies would grow on a similar number, making more difficult to take a city from a player whose alliance has the continent.
so,
if you have a contry you get an extra X% and your armies are X% stronger;
if your alliance has the continent you get an extra Y% and your armies are Y% stronger.
this would give more sense to alliances and an interesting goal to fight for.
any ideas?

I think that is a good idea.
Also, I would throw in several of small cities with some sort of prestige or other value like Monaco, Aspen, or some other small place. They could boost your profit in the stock market, tax revenue, diamond revenue or some such thing.

This is all gold, but it's been brought up twice before. We really need a "to-do" list.

It's not like the programmers are going to stop coding once we stop handing them clearcut idea's :D
instead of a "to-do" list, maby one of the coders can post a "doing" list.

Okay first of all do you know how many cities are on some of the continents. I mean it would be nearly immpossible to own every single city for one continent I mean even if an alliance was able to do this umm I think it wouldn't be very long till they lost one city and they would no longer have all of the cities. Plus the programmers are always adding new cities what would happen when a new city pops up whoops that alliance doesn't own all of the cities well bonus goes bye bye. Nope I think this is rather stupid and it would just be one more thing that might create a bug in the game. I say this may be even dumber than tim's shouting contest suggestion.

great analisys Ziggot! you are a genius. you might be right in almost everything. but, please, this canīt be worst than the shouting idea...
maybe you are not considering some aspects of this feature, like bigger alliances, growing power of players with a country, concentration of alliance armies on a continent (now they are rather disperse) and a very good reason to go for new cities.
about losing or adding a city, there could be some time frames to consider bonuses... e.g.: if an alliance owns all cities on a continent on defined date and time, it has the bonus for the next week or period of time.

Well, what's wrong with a little difficulty in the game? Just because you wouldn't be able to do it, doesn't mean the rest of us don't want to try.
