What if we had sounds for different events in the game?
Like any cities or home bases within 250 miles of a nuked city would hear a huge explosion in the middle of playing. Or there could be a little *cha-ching* sound whenever you deposit geos into the bank. I think it be cool, and I'm getting tired of a soundless game . . . . Just a suggestion . . . .

I like the idea.... especially the one of the explosion :cheesy
What do you think of the sound of marching soldiers when you order yoyr troops to move

Maybe nuke sound should be heard by everyone on this (GEwar) planet that open any page in next lets say five minutes?

I'd much rather animations.
Nukes flying through the air, debris being thrown around, armies marching, drilling machines drilling, miners mining...
Ok, maybe its not possible, but it would be cool.

Hmm, hmm. I think it'd be possible to do a rudimentary nuke graphic...not that I know anything. But it would be yet another kml file that would show a rapidly passing "missile" whenever someone launched a nuke.
Of course, with the server load, I doubt we could get any nuke graphics in, much less sounds...or even backround pics.
The bigger problem is that Google Earth doesn't support sounds nor animations.
So ofcourse sounds can be done in the gewar page, but animations would be quite useless i think and just slow you down.
Might be fun in the start, but might get frustrating after a while when lots of things happen.

sounds on the GEW page would slow down dial up users. Im on dial up and beleive me this game is hard enough using dialup. takes me ages to jewel hunt.

Sounds and animations will become more of irritations once their novelty wears off.
The only reasons to use sound and animation is only if it is essential to the operation performed. Not as an accessory.

Well, what I meant was something like an army kml file with the travel speed cranked waaaaaaaay up. Sorta like my idea for the disaster kml...but I know neither of these are gonna happen...
