I have an aussie friend who has 2 little boys. All they ever watch is the wiggles. I think its something like the teletubbies were years ago.

why Mel Gibson isn't in the list?

The wiggles and Barney and that stuff is easy to keep your kids off. You just got to play with em instead of using a tv as a babysitter.
Not sacking WC btw, or well not much.

actually, the wiggles when they have concerts, they get the kids up and moving around.

they have this huge drive in australia atm where they will only put their name or faces on healthy food.

so when you go to the supermarket, they are not on lollies and so on, they are on yoghurt and fruit products.
they are even on fruit smothies in the boost juice shops.

and they told mcdonalds where to go as well.

barney and the wiggles are completely different things. actually teletubbies are different as well. the wiggles ****s over all of them.

Yeah, what TD said.

The Wiggles encourage kids to get up and dance with them.

I won't let my kids watch tellytubbies, they don't talk properly and they just laze around rubbing their fat bellies......

Interesting on WC's list that Hi-5 is also on the top 10 list! 2 Kids entertainment groups in the top 10 earners list! Shows what a strong industry it is.

Also though, nothing beats getting out with a bat and ball and playing outside with your kids. Or my favourite, getting a chair and a can of bourbon and letting them ride supervised on the road :D What a Dad!!!!!

I can't find the info to back it up but a story I heard before was of a child taken to the doctor because the parents thought the child was having seizures. I don't know who asked the parents about it, but come to find out, the child was only having the "problems" when they were watching The Wiggles. I guess that's a case of parents not watching what they were showing the child.

I believe its an urban myth. The original story had to do with a certain anime cartoon that one scene drove some people to have seizures. The Simpsons made it even more popular when they did a vacation episode and were all watching the show and had seizures.
