Can we perhaps ease up on all the American sports threads? Or condense down into one thread?

Or am I the only one?

World centric events interest a greater cross section of users, Olympic Games, World Cup (Not like "World Series" where only American teams enter), Formula 1, as a few examples.

I don't mind forum noise, but there's been a bit of an American sport overload lately... Maybe it's just all the finals series and it will go away....... Wasn't there even a thread for the college series of something? Can you start a thread for the under 9s aswell?

how about you start some threads about other sports then if you want them. dont blame us cause we choose to talk about sports.

EDIT: and i am pissed that the pats won. wonder what it would have been like had the colts had all their receivers (since by the end of the game they were down to only 2 actives on their roster)

Sure blitz, being that this is a forum for support of a Google Earth based game, you make a very valid point and I for one will take it on board.

Thanks man.

Well I know what the superbowl is (grand final of the gridiron), but this wasn't even that? It was just some mid season game...... Not even mid season, they've only played about 9 games each. Come on......

:stop

since this is.. General Discussion
General discussion about topics not related to GEWar.. I think we can have what we want in here..You know what they say blitz..you dont have too read it...Maybe americans want too talk more about sports than the boring other topics that come out on here....besides..lately hardly anything is being talked on the forums..so anything too read is better than nothing....

Then start up an American Football thread and keep updating that with your chatter, instead of a new thread for each remotely interesting encounter.

I don't mind, except for that fact.

Not that it matters what I say, but it makes sense. Otherwise a precedent is set and every man and his dog posts "Hey, how about Porto and Benfica tonight!" and the like all the way down to "my local darts team are playing their 6th game of the season tonight, how many beers will my brother drink when he goes to England next March?"

You get the drift? Be proactive, condense.

Why are you being so defensive?

I have already stated I don't mind the thread, just keep it all in one.

I have started threads of general interest, and have followed threads of general interest. I don't particularly care about gridiron, so I won't read the threads, but lately I have been noticing that there a lot of individually named threads for what could easily be handled within one general interest topic.

I'd have a beer, but it's nearly lunch time Monday morning and that also sets a dangerous precedent.

Yeah, I LOVE my sport aswell, I can guarantee you that (and my beer). I can see where you were coming from, my first post wasn't as neutrally sounding as I would have liked.

Just make sure there's always some coldies in the fridge for me when I come over ;i02

Go Dallas Cowboys and Emmitt Smith! (That was when I was in high school and one of my mates was obsessed with NFL - I assume he's long since retired?)

And of course, Saverio Rocca and Ben Graham!!!! (Don't know who they play for though) Go the Aussie invasion!
