it would be cool to have the ability to launch non-nuclear missile attacks to foreign cities. the city would need to be upgraded with a launch pad in order to allow this. missiles would be bought on an individual basis. the damage to the citie's population and the accuracy would be randomly computed. missiles could be upgraded for speed and payload. cities could have anti-missile defenses set up that would need to be purchased and supplied with defensive missiles. empty cities would suffer no damage.

Sounds good

For an added fee you could add a heat-seaking option - improving its strike probability :)

If you had the heat-seeking option, you wouldn't be able to hit any Canadian cities, and we can't have that, now can we?

But getting back on track, I think that a counter attack for a nuke would be good idea. As well travel time for nukes. The only catch being that you cannot remove your armies if there is a nuke coming.

It doesn't make sense not be able to remove armies at that situation.
How about making the nuke damage radius some hundred miles? decreasing the casualties percentage with increasing distance.

Because that would mean that nukes would be useless. Everyone would leave before a nuke and you would have wasted 10k geos and nothave done any damage. So instead of leving, you have to counterattck with an anti-missile attack on the nuke.

how about dropping the price? :) or increasing the damage area?

Or perhaps, making them so fast that it's almost impossible to avoid them unless you notice them right at their launching?

And besides, launch one in the middle of the night, and I bet at least HALF the people here won't be awake.

i think this wasn't about nukes but about conventional missiles.

i like the idea, but i also think there should be a certain range linked to it.

i think the anti-missile defenses can be set to auto-respond to incoming missiles, so if one is away from the game one still has some defense.

not all incoming missiles will hit their target, and even if they hit, the damage that they inflict will be variable.

i think evacuating the cities should be an option, however there should be a "FEMA" penalty so that one must evacuate a certain distance, which could be randomly generated, and when returning the armies will travel at a reduced speed, also randomly determined. this way evacuating the city will not nullify an incoming attack, as it makes the city unoccupied and puts it into play. perhaps an evacuation alarm can also be set on auto-respond, for those away from the game.

Dude, please, let's get a new resource in before we bring in FEMA.
Ugh...beaucracy.
