Some of our mates have talked about something you want. But you cann't think about all and do so made thing again after LUKE's post.
If you can't give us a official explain I have to ask everybody of WTO to leave game. Enjoy yourselfves.

Pretty simple:

We have had your alliance mates tell us what is happening in WTO, and we have been promised cooperation which has not been forthcoming.

GEWar Rules state:

If you come across a bug or a glitch, please report it to us right away. If you discover a way to cheat the system, please don't exploit it. Let us know about it, we will fix the hole, and we will give you a nice number of jewels in return. If you are caught exploiting a glitch for your own gain, you will be banned from the game.

What's Cheating And What's Not

1. Playing with more than 1 account.
2. Hacking the system and not letting Luke or the Mods know how you did it.
3. Profiting from item 2.
4. Paying for information is valid; Aslong as the payee is not you. ( see 1. )
5. Using scripts for any purpose and not letting Luke, Tara or the Mods know how you did it.
6. Profiting from the item 5.
7. When finding a bug, just PM Luke instead of using it for your own fun and wiping all players off the board first.

If the only way we can get cooperation is by freezing bank accounts, then that is what we have to do. It is completely unfair that all Chinese players must suffer due to a few that are stretching the rules to gain an advantage.

If you suspect someone of cheating, don't post a thread about it; let a mod or Luke /Tukamotten know via PM or you can always post on the Help Desk.

sooo, if i understand well.... they have there bank accounts limited? :( . Not to start a fight again, but i still think they should be able to play like the other players, cuz now its just bringing the honest players down since everyone is picking on them now. And they cant make more money (if i understood). I've been in that situation, were the admins thought i had a dup account with one of my friend. And they then found out that i didnt have 2 accounts. but while the admins thought that, my friend lost almost everything since he couldnt do anything with his banked geos. And trust me he had a lot of troops and very valuable cities. So i jsut think that there account shouldnt be freezed. I dont rly see a reason for that. If u think they cheat, dont freeze there account or u wont ever know if they are cheating since they cant bank any money :p... Personnally i dont think its fair...

I dont know any WTO players, so im not on either side of the 'battle', but i think they should at least get there bank account back to normal. Then it will be easier to know if they cheat :)... if not plz explain how it's easier to know while there accounts are 'frozen'. I see it as a punishement but why punish the honest guys? :p

I understand what you are saying completely, but here is where we are coming from. Some people from WTO(1,2, etc.) have cheated, but they will not cooperate with us as they have promised. Although it is unfortunate that we have to punish an entire alliance to get the truth, it is a decision that we were forced to make.

And before one might say it is unfair to the people that didn't cheat, remember that the WHOLE alliance benefited from the geos that the cheaters gained unfairly. Also, knowing that someone has cheated and not telling the crew about it is also bad form.

And not to throw a pity party for the crew, but if you want to talk about not being fair, let's talk about how much time and effort the entire crew put into making this game run smoothly and catching people that cheat EVERY DAY. Almost every day we are banning, warning people that are cheating and constantly researching the many many helpdesk requests that are accusing people of cheating and making sure we don't ban people that are innocent.

Along with that you have coders who are coding for the new version and fixes for the current version of the game.

ok well i agree, but i hope u understand its rly hard to turn in alot or maybe all of ur teamm8s, and tell the admins that they are cheating, after u played for a good while with them. plz dont ban or freeze my account for saying this, but i personnally wouldnt of told the admins if my alliance or even my "GEwar friends" were cheating.... And im sure im not the only one since it already happenned... If u were not an admin and u would of been in that situation, would u have done it??? think about it...

Making the accounts frozen makes people want to cooperate, it makes the cheaters say what they did and explain themselves.

Who knows, maybe it'll be found that whatever is being used to cheat can be changed and made to be fair, and the cheaters wont have to be banned.

Maybe you should go buy Windows Vista and then tell Microsoft that they are not being fair because you spent all that money for an OS that can't run on your computer?

GEWar was developed so everyone could play, but maybe not as FAST as others. There are MANY people who play on dial up here and they don't resort to cheating so they can have more geos than the people on "high speed internet".

The goal of "the crew" is to stop people from cheating. Normally, if people cooperate and share how they were cheating, we give them a 2nd chance and plug the hole that the cheaters were exploiting. If the cheaters won't help us do that, then we simply ban them. It is all a matter of 2nd chances.

But there are others who are playing with the very same types of machines you speak of, so is it fair to them that you have found a way to even the field but they can't have access to it? For what its worth, you can come to the ghetto and play on my machine any time.

They didnt change the game for anyone else... they just found a way of jewelling faster for them. Ok well maybe it changed since they have more money than others but it dosnt affect the way others play. If you know who did you should show your evidence and know what you should do. If you don't know you should get date from your way. I voted blackball due to LUKE'S pertinence POST(It is my view not others). Someone show the details on your GEWAR forum by Chinese. He has only the machine which someone can only use not all players. You can't have enough evidence to censure our alliance.

i think we need to get to the bottom of this problem very fast..like yesterday..even if it means stopping the game for a few days ,cause i see this is not getting solved at all..and we are going to have a gewar that the game will not ever recover from...please get it solved.....i know its easier said then done on this end...but is not easy to read all of this and think , will we will have a game to play tommorrow...

I think after reading this, that some players are being punished for their alliance friends secrets. To me this sucks...BUT, it's reality and has to be done. If you are not cheating but know of secrets going on, or know that the mods are requesting information then perhaps rather than argue with the mods, you should ask your members to help them find the problems to get this resolved asap? Makes sense to me. As for slow computers....they only make jeweling harder and retaking cities. Attack/defend to an extent but that's it. The rules are there to see. If you break them then you pay. If your alliance is profiting from a rule break then why keep it a secret if it means your alliance is screwed? Makes no sense. Oh and Wayaya, you basically admitted to knowing and perhaps partaking in these "secrets" as you called them. You know it's a problem so why hide? The MODS don't play, so how are you screwed? They don't share the info if it's legal. If it's a script all players can use it if they are able to(and accepted). The principal is to make the game a fair playing field so not one person is left behind. As for low tech computers, that's something only the players can change. May be hard, but that's how technology is....upgrade or get left behind. I upgraded for my work programs. If I didn't I'd be screwed.

Again, if you know that your "secret" is the cause of this. Let one or two of the admins understand and know it. If it's kosher then you can use it. If not, then you can't. It's all in the rules that have been there for quit some time. If your alliance is not cooperating then the whole group suffers...Again sucks, but it's probably the last option they had before bannings occured?

why not take advantage when u can... In games, there are the one that know alot in the game and know all the tricks... and there are the newbs that dont know s***. That jsut part of every game. So its something they made themselves, so why not take advantage of it. Like i said before, im always trying to see how i could be more effecient than other players to get more money.... its just normal to think that way (well i think :p)

Yes maybe i know what is it.But that does not mean i 'll do what the Mods (who is he?) wants. The Mods don't play? At least luke plays the game. :crazy It's not a secret that the admins have lost the trust from wto members ,even more ,maybe all the chinese playes. what i mean is : most of ,if not all of the wto member will not believe in the admin members any more.

I have totally no idea why I can't use the bank account. I have been in school all day and I discovered that I could not used my bank as I entered the game. Some one please explains this situation to me or I think I should not spend more time on the game. ;raincloud

I knew that some GM spend time and energy to check the cheating. We try to help you find out this problem. But we are not the GM and we can't have the date to know who is suspectable. Cheater is not stupidity to emerge himself. So it is only GM's incumbent not our players. We only can do these all.

I think it is the GMs not the players who have the responsibility to find out who are cheating and who are not.

That's just it though. Whether you trust them or not is besides the point. It's their game. You're in their school yard and you have to accept it. We all have. They set the rules we follow. You say you're being mistreated fine. As you called them to prove themselves, I ask you to do the same. What have they done that you feel it untrust worthy? I don't accuse nor deny, just asking. You know what is going on is a problem in thier eyes. They've requested the info, you gotta show it to play. A while back in GDI a script( I think ) was made for the stocks(not buy/sell). It was shown to the mods and accepted. The script was then shared with the whole community. We could have kept it our own but the rules were followed. We knew them going in, we gave our "secret" to the whole system. If you feel like you are being screwed please elaborate. We've all had our runins with individuals, not everyone agrees with everyone ( I think Luke can attest to that in my case;) ). Trust me, if it turns out to be all legal and kosher they will see it that way and do what is necessary to vindicate you. Right now though, by withholding this for so long, your group hurts both themselves and eachother now and the future.

I think it is the GMs not the players who have the responsibility to find out who are cheating and who are not.

WTO is apparently using a "secret." The MODS are asking for an explanation and your "leaders" are being uncooperative about it. So rather than allow whatever is happening to continue, AND not banning left right and center. They are just pausing your abilities until it is explained. Your group from what I've read here is just adding to this frustration by not following those rules. If you know of what I am talking about, I'd suggest relaying any pertanent information to them.

Pretty out of line statement there.

All of us on staff are veteran players, many of us have stopped playing a game which we love to VOLUNTEER our time to make sure that it is equitable for all. With the information I have at my fingertips, I would be invincible. Personally, I have helped to lead an alliance to the top spot several resets ago, long before you ever started playing this game.

As far as losing trust of a group of players, so be it...
I find it very hard to believe that many in WTO are not aware of the content of the current issue that has forced us to do the only thing, short of banning, that will convince your group to provide us the information that we have requested. Now get on your alliance pages, get on your private forums and let the powers that be know that it is a very simple fix to un-freeze your bank accounts. Give us the information that we have been promised.

Or, we just lay the smack down. I know lots of people like jeweling and do it legitimately. There are always those who try to ruin it for others.

I agree that the cheater should surrender. But I don't want to see GM punish our alliance due to someone's cheating. It is not honorific for others players of our alliance. So I said lots here.

In a way yes? If you are using a script that is not approved by the mods then the rules are you get banned unless you show it to them for approval. If you are not using it then you are clear. However, if you are knowingly taking geos from those that are using the script then you may get a semi-ban. These have always been the rules. Jeweling sucks, however many do it legally, so why punish them when a ban on those that cheat will suffice. As for the whole alliance being punished, this again is due to the fact that I think most know of what is going on and are not helping fix this situation. All I am seeing is circles of denial. If you are scripting an illegal script say so now and reveal it to the MODs or get banned. It's a rule that applies to EVERYONE!

As for the "cheater should surrender," I am sure you can easily find out who in your alliance is it, if you don't already(not just one me thinks?), yet have you (if you know) told the admins? Have you provided them with the whatever "secret" this is? If you know of this and withhold it, then you become part of the problem. This is the easiest thing to stop and yet no one in WTO has stood up for honour and truth in this matter? Why is it there is so much fear to stand up for honesty???

If you are scripting an illegal script say so now and reveal it to the MODs or get banned. It's a rule that applies to EVERYONE!

As for the "cheater should surrender," I am sure you can easily find out who in your alliance is it, if you don't already(not just one me thinks?), yet have you (if you know) told the admins? Have you provided them with the whatever "secret" this is? If you know of this and withhold it, then you become part of the problem. This is the easiest thing to stop and yet no one in WTO has stood up for honour and truth in this matter? Why is it there is so much fear to stand up for honesty???

wayaya you have admitted on this forum to knowing what it is that we are asking you for, now in fairness we could have banned all of the accounts as Luke had previously mentioned in his thread, but we are willing to give you all a chance to sort this out, am getting tired of the threads constantly going on about how unfair it is.

Pretty simple:

We have had your alliance mates tell us what is happening in WTO, and we have been promised cooperation which has not been forthcoming.

GEWar Rules state:

If you come across a bug or a glitch, please report it to us right away. If you discover a way to cheat the system, please don't exploit it. Let us know about it, we will fix the hole, and we will give you a nice number of jewels in return. If you are caught exploiting a glitch for your own gain, you will be banned from the game.

What's Cheating And What's Not

1. Playing with more than 1 account.
2. Hacking the system and not letting Luke or the Mods know how you did it.
3. Profiting from item 2.
4. Paying for information is valid; Aslong as the payee is not you. ( see 1. )
5. Using scripts for any purpose and not letting Luke, Tara or the Mods know how you did it.
6. Profiting from the item 5.
7. When finding a bug, just PM Luke instead of using it for your own fun and wiping all players off the board first.

If the only way we can get cooperation is by freezing bank accounts, then that is what we have to do. It is completely unfair that all Chinese players must suffer due to a few that are stretching the rules to gain an advantage.

If you suspect someone of cheating, don't post a thread about it; let a mod or Luke /Tukamotten know via PM or you can always post on the Help Desk.

The thing can be easy to solve, just like in normal, if you see a cheater, just ban him, so simple!! But now, you made the things very difficult and even made many Chinese players very very angey, is it deserved? Ionly say the truth.

The thing is, from what I am reading is the MODs are having a hard time of figuring out "who" is the one that created the script, I also seem to see that more than one member is knowingly taking advantage of the script. So, because of this and the FACT that WTO members are keeping his/her identity a secret means they all suffer. Wayaya seems to know who it is but is either afraid of telling the truth or is misleading the mods. Take you pick.

Concidering that WTO has members who hold honour and the Chinese name so high, I find it sad that they would allow someone to sully their name like this. I think I got the ghist of what you meant, almost seemed to be speaking in metaphors? Still though, I think it is better for all, mostly WTO to accept that the MODs deal with these issues fairly and equally. Perhaps it is time to PM them the details of what is going on. The MODs don't tell who said what if that is what you are afraid of? If they are now aware then so be it. Hey *******, the staff's been working their asses off in the last few weeks to get this resolved. They have given you many chances to come forward. You know many players in your alliance are using a script, you might even be using it yourself so just go ahead and give the script to the mods. It's not that complicated. Quit being a douche and stop insulting them. You really think they're stupid? No, they're not. They know what's going on and you perfectly know too. Just give them the script ffs.

All scripts used, must be CHECKED by admins/mods. (supposedly, lenin checks the scripts)

If WTO are using scripts or anything similar, all must be CHECKED by the admins.

UNO is using a simple script also, it makes no change to gewar much, but we DID get it checked by some of the crew.

WTO must play fair, if UNO, 3rd, AO have to get scripts checks so should WTO.

It had already been checked out by a mod and was cleared, but if you do not DL it off the server here you do not know if it has been modified. UNO's script was cleared beforehand and the only problem was not using the url for gewar. But to everyone and anyone. If you do not DL it from the gewar server the mods have said it is not legal. Period, easy to understand. If you dl one somewhere else you need to notify the crew and get it checked. And if you make one and do not post it here then take a week long (or longer) vacation to remember the rules by.

So long as the crew see the CODE, it doesn't matter where it's located imo...

It basically just put another page (html/php page) and inserts it into the alliance page.

not really, all it does is make a feed from the our Forums.

If it is making everyone pissy I will rewrite the code myself and remove the feeds, however I will clearly mark as to where the feeds go, and how a developer can update it for each individual alliance.

Seeing as noone has actually said what it is that is causing all this fuss. Can a MOD post the principle of the "cheat?" Is it a jewel script, attack script.....what? And is it making profits or just the game easier to use? Just currious? If we know and it's posted then all WTO can confirm whether or not they know of it. Then they can release said information for approval. If not, then they are guilty of not following the rules. If no to the preceeding then really we are still in the dark.

If you or your alliance members (this is referring to EVERYONE) are doing something that might be questionable report it. I never mentioned WTO at all, however Ronnie, similar to a lot of WTO members, you continue to believe we are accusing all member from WTO of cheating, which no one has done... For your information, I was referring to the players who were already banned like adf_mice, who just showed everyone on the forums that he deserves to be banned.

You seemed to take that post very personally Ronnie, enough to go as far as dismissing my post as worthless... Do I not have the right to post my opinion? My post was neither inappropriate or against any rule. Who says you can tell me what I can and cannot post?

This does not help to dispel the fuel if we are fighting on the open forums. We may not agree with the way things have been dealt with regarding these issues, but that does not mean that we have been incorrect. Now please calm down and take this to the staff forums.

Yawn...I grow tired of this "debate". Let the admins do their work to sort the cheaters from the rest.

If you or your alliance members (this is referring to EVERYONE) are doing something that might be questionable report it. If it's not a cheat you're Ok, if it is you'll be punished, but better than permanently banned for not coming forward and/or being uncooperative. The rules are quite clear about this:
