How about some colors in Latest Activity page. For example if someone retained control of the city that sentence should be in green, and if someone lost control it should be red.

Also some effects. If total number of killed troops is more than 1000, 1st sentence should be bold. I believe it's not hard to implement.

The city of Hong Kong, China was attacked by Venefex. 4 defending armies (406 troops) were killed in the battle. 354 attacking troops were killed. MIMIK lost the city.

The city of Manchester, United Kingdom was attacked by hardcode. 1 defending army (457 troops) was killed in the battle. 700 attacking troops were killed. doc_highlander retained control of the city.

Nice, simple, I like it!
Maybe one more thing: different background color for your cities, and another for your alliances cities? (shades of light gray?)

Yeah, one thing that I've been thinking about is being able to color-code your stuff. Pick colors for specific armies, pick what color you want anything having to do with your alliance show up as, etc. The web interface is just way too bland and a lot of information could be conveyed with color.
