I'm not sure about this idea so do get abusing me for it I just thought I would share another idea.

I get very frustrated when I see that a fellow alliance member city has enemy armies on route but they are tucked up asleep in bed and their is nothing I can do except hope they have left enough troops to defend the city.

So with that in mind, what about the ability to add troops to another players army in the same alliance?

The cost of the army would come from the player supplying the troops but the upkeep would fall onto the shoulders of the army owner.

You would need to know how many troops are in an alliance city (Is this being shown in the new mod?)

I'm not sure whether this would ruin the game?

Views/Thoughts?

I dont agree with your methods but i do agree with the principle.

IMO I should be able to add my army to an allies town and it functions as an extra army there, IE it defends in turn.

Would make what you want viable without the ability to really annoy people by forcing costs onto them, especiaally when allot of people balance it so they can just afford their troops with the investments they have.

I like the idea but who would get the city taxes?

With my idea if you can only add troops to a fellow alliance member you can see how much funds they currently have through your alliance page.
If the upkeep is not their then the troops will just start to die as per the normal game.
