Small problem: Mt Sinai

Is Mt Sinai in Israël ? Because that's what he said to me, and I'd rather say it's in Egypt...

It is currently on egyptian territory; however Israel held it for several years after I think the 6-day war ('67) though it may have been '73.

I found the .kmz for Mt Sinai but zooming in and even panning around it yields no jewels. Did you ever locate it? Was it in the Sinai peninsula?
