Alright, some of you may have seen my last game before I deleted it. This is a different version of it. This is a game to find the coolest aircraft on Google Earth. There are four categories:

Longest
Most Colorful
Weirdest
Most Hardcore

Longest and Most Colorful will be judged by me, and Weirdest and Most Hardcore will be judged by the security council. The prize for each will be 200 geos.

The rules:
1. There can only be one entry per person
2. A person can only enter a plane for one of these categories (and must specify the category they are going for).
3. Once a person has submitted a picture, they may not change it. Anyone who edits their post will be disqualified. If you forget to say which category you put it in, PM me, and I will change it. (To keep people from posting a different picture if they are one-upped.)
4. An entry must contain a screenshot centered on the aircraft, and coordinates centered on the aircraft.
5. Fake Bonus Points to people who identify their entries.

So, pick wisely, and good luck!
This competition will end April 12th at 12:00 AM EST

I submitted two, but the Lancaster is the one I am using under hardcore. I mean how often do you see such a beauty. Stick and rudder, the way a plane is meant to fly. If you havn't noticed I prefer WW1-2 era planes. More character in them?

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g93/I_Melek_Taus/Lancaster.jpg
The second one is a joke. It is the longest, but not "airplane"....more like paper.:p

C-5 Galaxy being refueled... in mid-air by a KC-135.

I think anything more hardcore would be a fighter bomber on an attack run !

How do you calculate lenght .. do we count all planes in the picture or just individual planes, or the lenght of the plane and the shadow ?
ahh what the hey.. lets count this in as Lenght Category too ! The C5 is not as big as the Antonov, 2nd in the size category unless someone has a pic of the A 380.

picture is too big to fit... you guys will have to be happy with the KMz; Sorry

The Airbus A380 (73 m) is 11 m shorter than the Antonov AN-225 (84 m). The Boeing 747-B (76.4 m)is second. The Lockheed C-5 (75 m) is definitely third longest. The Boeing 777-300 (73.9 m) is fourth. The proposed Airbus A350 will come in at 73.8 m if it ever goes into production.

Two planes in one here, the one in the upper right is bright red, and goes in colorful, the bottom left houses a tiny one going under the "weird" category.

Also, all the normal white planes are your typical 2-4 seater Cessna, to give you an idea of the grey one.

Flashy colors don't give an old school Bomber like this the dread when you'd see it flying over you, or the hope as you see it continue on to fight off your enemies.

Welcome Geordie, glad you made it from the ad thread on Steam! It wont let you post links until you've gotten more posts under your belt, though it seems the problem's solved with coordinates anyway.

And fluteflute, you can't edit your post? That's odd, 'cause the rest of us can :p

I think people that are in the Security Counsil can edit their posts in the OGFG....which is a mistake...that Luke had said he knew about.

Colorful: dtwapdubs
Longest: Timbo (with 83.51m)

and some V-22 Ospreys.
34°56'10.48"N 117°53'20.32"W

Yeah all at Edwards AFB.

Tried looking for Burt Rutan's White Knight or any of his plane designed... and found
32°30'27.36"N 111°19'6.33"W;
Beechcraft Starship

all good for wierd planes... dang late again

As per words in SC about hardcore. All I need to say is this.

How many shots of the blackbird(a beauty of its own) are there in GE? How many are there of it flying? Look at the Lan, how many are there around, and flying? The fact that it's a WW2 plane that's STILL flying makes it hardcore. It's takin a likin' and it still around and kickin!

You ain't hardcore unless you can kick some ass! The blackbird has no armament to speak of. Lanny boy came armed to the teeth and ready for a fight. Ask the boys who flew em...

Cheers,

I vote for myself(as per the question in SC) ;banana

Hi all while browsing the forums i found this game. And since most likely theres new planes in there, I would like to see how many participate. I will judge them on length(wingspan), color, and difficulty to find (if you find a black airplane over the ocean then thats hard)

I will give away prizes for each category. The prize will very on how hard the plane was to find, and I will be searching GEHacks for planes that are on there so do not duplicate those. You may submit as many pictures as you want in all categories .

Have fun.

BTW you may not duplicate last times pics, they have to have Coordinates, and must be airborne.
