Now it's not just for americans ofcourse. I'm Dutch and even I watch American Idol.
And there is little use in knowing the characters better to be able to make a prediction. Most of the years those you think will win, end up getting booted before the finale(*cough* Chris Daughtry */cough*).

Anyway...the winners win 25k geos, but have to share it.
So if you are the only winner, you get 25k geos. If 20 people voted on that person, it's 25k/20 ofcourse.

But this is fun.
First you have the auditions which are just great fun. Like a weird freakshow.

But then you get some really good music. And who doesn't like music?
There are some awesome singers in it.
I do it mainly for the music and tha babez ;pupok .

I'd be happy if he wins. But I still voted for Blake Lewis, mainly for the reason that I think he has more fans and therefor more chance.

Well that's not completely correct.
Carry Underwood really was good.
Bo Bice was as good as her I think, but he screwed up in the finale. He got nervous.

Last year I totally disagree with the outcome, and record sales have also proven that.
Chris Daughtry would've been the best Idol yet. Though he's better off now.
He's a fabulous singer. Especially his 'harder' rock songs really rock.
He was offered to become the lead singer of Fuel, but declined the offer even.

Doolittle is a great singer, but I'm not sure about her appearance. She's soooo inconfident. Makes you feel uncomfortable just looking at her.
How about an Atonella Barba with the voice of Doolittle? :)

I don't watch this show, and tend to stay away from 'reality' TV.
Random Vote added, in the off chance I find myself a winner on a day I had no idea the final show had been broadcast.

I'm not really calling it reality tv. I just want to hear good music.

Though the auditions are just a freakshow and thats why I watch those :p.

I hate the Dutch and English one...I mostly(this year not that much yet) like the American one because there really is some good music in it.
Still know many don't like shows like these, though this show keeps breaking records on the ratings.

There's a small thing I'm wondering about.
How many contestants can the jury hear in a day....or even 2 days.
Mostly they say they are doing it for about 2 days per city.

Then they say about 10k contestants showed up.
How could they possibly do 10k auditions in a day.
Or even half of it.
If it takes 5 minutes per contestant it's still only 12 per hour.
If they wouldn't take a break, it's a total of 120 in 10 hours.
Say a maximum of 300 in 2 days.
Ok if some take less than 5 minutes, they might end up with 600 in 2 days.

Something is wrong there. They claim some cities had even more than 10k contestants. Still in the episodes they keep talking about 2 days of auditioning.

Well it could make sense as they sometimes show scenes from contestants that didn't go through singing another song.
