when you request a city, zinc or Blitz will either say yes or no. if yes, then it will be added within a few days.

but they will reply to your request either way.

There are reasons we do the things we do.


If we add every city requested the game board would be very clogged up around highly populated areas, and areas where people are more pre-determined to be active participants. Therefore, we must regulate the adding of cities to create a coherent looking "board" to play on, maximising the available space by adding the larger cities in the area.

Part 2 of above is that if cities are too close together, they create bugs that an army moved between them will never arrive even though it should either arrive instantly or within the next 5 minutes (stays in limbo until it is moved again).

We don't add cities in a predictable pattern. If we were predictable, then players would have idle armies floating around waiting for the city they know will be added. A city request can take up to 3-4 months to be looked at sometimes.

Also we have real lives, jobs and commitments, so it makes the above a good excuse for times of inactivity ;)

Basically, every request will (usually within a couple of months) get a response from zinc or me giving a yay or nay and be closed or added instantly.

There is a reasonable amount of background work that goes into each city request we add or deny. We must check the coordinates given or find the coordinates ourself for space for this city, we must verify the population given with our other population sources and we must check that the city is not blocking a larger city that should be added in it's place.

We are much faster at adding cities to open areas if we can just look ourselves and add them ;). (ie. the city request forum should be used for cities you REALLY want added rather than to try to "help" us)
