Any money that isn't won would be built up in a jackpot. Certain combinations of correct numbers would earn you a part pay-off. Winners would also have to share winnings with other winnerse who chose the same numbers. Also tickets would always cost more than the implied odds of winning, so using a scripter to fill out every number combination would not get you more money in return. You must be a regular Neopets player ;) cmotdibbler13 01-03-2006, 05:49 PM as long as the odds are better than the uk lottery 14 million to 1 to win the big one i think it is brodie2219 01-03-2006, 07:06 PM as long as the odds are better than the uk lottery 14 million to 1 to win the big one i think it is i did it before using the powerball number in the US as the winning number...you pick 1 number....1 in 42 chance of winning, ..about 4 people a drawing entered and in 5 weeks noone won... jraatz564 01-03-2006, 09:53 PM It sounds fairly good. I would question whether it would be worth the time of the programmers to do so, and not work on something else. On the other hand, a small gain-higher win probability would be fun. Or also possiblly a casino type game with instant results. (I would imagine some people would go nuts and lose all their money) Just feeding off your ideas p0wderfinger 01-04-2006, 04:04 AM You must be a regular Neopets player ;) OH god no! I played that for a bit when I was younger 'cause it was popular with my school, until I realized there's no good way to get money. Their games give so little pay off (and suck). The only way to make money is to sign up for their scams with your parents' credit card. :D Luke 01-04-2006, 12:02 PM OH god no! (I would imagine some people would go nuts and lose all their money) Just feeding off your ideas We dont have to program anything, you guys will run it yourselves - the game staff will have nothing to do with it, you guys will run it, play it and solve problems when they happen - just post a new thread with the date of the draw, the cost of a ticket and any other rules in the "games for geos" forum - make the prize something like 75% of the money you make off entries :) (I think thats whats been done in the first one in there) Enjoy! T. p0wderfinger 01-04-2006, 12:46 PM Uh oh... I forsee chaos, scamming, complaining, and a whole lot of lottos being run. araT 01-04-2006, 12:48 PM And thats why we want nothing to do with them - we have better things to waste our time on :D - you, as a member of the crew, should agree with that ;) People will soon learn who is trustworthy and who is not, and if someone rips you off it gives you all the more incentive to go reap some revenge on them  T. dwork 01-04-2006, 03:41 PM Yepp check this out.... copyright=1% of lottery buiseness :D Dwork say once, a long time ago... (http://www.gewar.net/forums/showpost.php?p=2658&postcount=33) V_Oda 01-04-2006, 05:23 PM Careful. This is a war game and we cannīt loose this pourpose. We need to increase services related by this inttention, like new type of armies, resources... Lottery is only a luck game, not related by a war game... Shadownation 01-04-2006, 05:27 PM I agree but if it is a possible way of earning geos it could increase war in the long run, and plus you cannot do anything in this game without geos, and as it is a way to gain geos I think it is an excellent idea. iricigor 01-04-2006, 06:04 PM To increase the WAR maybe rewards could be in troops. Winner should just select an army which he/she wants to improve. More troops means more war. :shoot Everyone that buys a lottery ticket during 24h should be in hat for daily reward (for example 1000 troops), and once a week there should be bigger prize (10.000 troops). Or even better 40% of total money collected that day should be daily prize and everything else week prize (it would be 10 times bigger). Or maybe that total value of troops should be double collected money. calculation 10 bought tickets per 10Geos is 100G Prize money doubles, so it is 200G 200G is 2,667 troops. Daily prize is around 1,000 troops. And weekly prize is 11,000 troops. Winner should have 24h to collect prize (add troops to an army). If he fails to do so, money transfers to next week. Even from daily rewards. dwork 01-05-2006, 08:24 PM Any moves on lottery? Luke 01-05-2006, 08:37 PM Yes, here: http://www.gewar.net/forums/showthread.php?t=580 |
