Want a city added to GEWar? Here is a helpful, updated guide to get your city added.
The City Adding Format:
To request a city, you MUST use the city adding format. It is very helpful to the city adders. The adding format is as follows.
Name of the city (in bold)
Population and your source
Latitude
Longitude
No other information, other then that, is required, but you may choose to leave more, anyway.
How To Add A City:
Adding cities is very easy. Here is an example of how to add cities, using Bend, United States of America (note the bold text), a city that is already in the GEWar game.
I have searched up Bend using the search tool on GE, and there is a grey square around the city. There are colored location squares around the GEWar cities. This is zoomed out to 1,870.44 miles (about 1,864 miles). The grey square around Bend does not overlap any of the colored GEWar city squares. Therefore, we can safely assume that it can be added to GEWar as a city. Another thing: Your GE browser must be facing north. If GE is facing northeast and two cities overlap, but when GE faces north, the two cities do not overlap, it can be added. IT ONLY MATTERS IF GE IS FACING NORTH. Where NOT To Add Cities:
You can only add cities in open areas, where the location is not too close to other cities. However, to help you in where to look to add cities, the following locations are already full of cities, and therefore do not need anymore added: The United Kingdom, New Jersey, in any resource fields (besides ones that are already there), the North Pole or Santa's Workshop (or near it) or the South Pole or Amundsen-Scott Station (or near it.) Do NOT try to get your hometown added if you live near a major city. It will probably not happen.
These areas are crowded, and are not LIKELY to get more cities, though it is possible: Western Europe or the USA (excluding Alaska.)
Your city will not be added immediately, as it takes time for the city adders to get your requests replied to, but your cities will be looked at within due time.
