ODA Dominance ends in a fiery ball

Perhaps in the deepest least-read chapters of outdated history textbooks and in cities this reporter will probably never visit, they will herald this day, Febuary the Second, as Liberation Day: The day AO set us free! The Great Liberation began at 09:07:04 in Amarillo, Texas, When M1_Tanker launched an army that began the war on the ODA opressors. Over the couse of the next few hours several Alpha and Omega and Alpha and Omega Recon members launched an offensive that still continues as I report. As of this moment, a total of 22 members of ODA and ODA Metal have hit zero since the invasion began and ODA has dropped from 2nd in alliance standings to 7th. No communication has been made between GEWaria and ODA, reporters were sent but found several ODA generals asleep in their beds. Said AOR member emperor55, "We shall see the true nature of the enemy in battle when we see them running from our spears."

One of the reasons analysts came up with to explain the utter defeat of an alliance that has been relatively unbothered since reset was that in order to save money on defenses they had largely defeded thier cities using the ill-fated "Lactose-Intolerant" Method. This consists of building walls around cities and catapulting live cows at the invaders. Alpha Omega was largely able to avoid this defense by placing salt licks around the bases of the walls, thereby preoccupying the cows long enough to seize the city.

Among the casualties was the Netstunt Holland Server, which was reportedly hit by so many refreshes and new windows that it had less of a chance of surviving without shattering than a stray beer bottle at a Cleveland Browns game.

I think ODA is very inactive alliance, saving there geos for best position at the end, I like ODA, they just used loopholes in the rules, best saving alliance wins the day, now I can understand why would A&O want to change this, it would make game more interesting if we all fighting and save less.

The problem of this game are the big alliances who sit there doing nothing. Attacking ODA is good, but preferably, "bullying" is not a good way to get people to play the game.

I would expect to see ODA respond in kind and return the favor for all the damage we did to them today. As angry as they might be they will still be happily planning our demise instead of sitting on their geos. It will make for some exciting times for all of GEWar ;bgrin

I'm not sure I understand this post....ODA are a "big alliance who sat there doing nothing" AO attacked them....what's your problem?

I don't think it is bullying either..ODA will no doubt come back and they will need to do some attacking to get back...all good for the game.

The way the game is set up right now rewards saving alliances that nap....if people want to play that way and the rules allow it and the gameplay encourages it...then sitting around complaining really doesn't make much sense....and complaining when an alliance like AO actually does try to liven things up a bit is even worse...AO could have sat back for months doing nothing...at least this way we have some big activity and a chance of more to come.

live with it or find another game.....or come up with a solution that admin can use to make the game better

U forgot to mention slight thing called federation, and how you like to dominate Europe and than world. I wonder who came fist with that idea. Seems as though its a common occurance nowadays... The fall of ODA was overdue... Lets hope BNW is next on the list, because certainly AO does it's bit for war (TIGERS, ODA).

I've done a fair bit thank you, I've been taking daily attacks from coppi and lex earlier this reset (especially Paris). I then took a trip to Moscow which was rather expensive. Zeroed a few UN players here and there... Defended from big hit and run attacks from Viking and Dazling...

Plus, this isn't a question of what I or NO do... Few alliances can say we sit and save...afterall we have our enemies (who are rich and very experienced) and it's their prerogative to attack us, we can't force them to do that. And we in the end are only realistically about 25 players and SSC and UN do have the capability to zero us....if they want but not individually.

Now explain to me who are BNW's enemies? Ukraine..wowzers... I can see you get wiped out by them (not that they are poor players, but rather the odds are not in their favour). Ahh yes... reminds me of ODA Strategy again...with a little improvement.. have a small alliance to have a war with so people can't say you're NAPPed with everyone.

Still I they have put up the good fight. ;bravo They are not backing down even though at this time we have the upper hand.
