OK here goes with my first official quest.
Could everyone please check the rules (http://www.gewar.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3596) before playing. Remember though to post your answers to me..not questmaster or Games Master.
Gi Jane is going on a journey...you can perhaps guess where, however her family want her to visit the Towns and Cities of her ancestors before she gets to her final destination.
Being a difficult family, they have only given their daughter clues as to where to go. The clues are as follows.
Jane lives in Washington so this is her starting point. (BTW you will need to have roads checked in Places on Google Earth to play this)
Fly to (WA)shington DC Then Find XX 54 (4+a) N YY 03 (24+b) W. Where XX and YY are the main lat and long of Washington DC and a and b are the numerical values of the first 2 letters of Washington. (To get you started I'll tell you that they are W=23 and A=1) This will take you to a street with the name of your next town or city in it.
Go to that town or city in Google Earth and once there you will have the XX and YY coordinates for the next clue. Add the numerical value of the first 2 letters of the town or city you are in to the last set of digits I give you.
There are 7 places that you need to find not including Washington. Solve the clue above and the 6 below to find the answers. Some are easy, and others may be a bit harder....look around sometimes the location is not exactly on or near the street name.
So here are the rest of the clues:
XX 56 (14+a) N YY 32 (13+b) W
XX 51 (1+a) N YY 14 (-8+b) W
XX 31 (13+a) N YY 09 (31+b) W
XX 22 (0+a) N YY 02 (2+b) W
XX 56 (-12+a) N YY 53 (18+b) E
XX 26 (38+a) N YY 28 (48+b) E
I need the name of each town you visit.
