It doesn't show up in Google Earth and I can't find any population data, but it strikes me as a good one to add.

It has no permanent poplulation, however there is a constant military force. I suggested it and the other US Outlying Islands because they are of strategic importance.

It wasn't that there was no permanent population - there was no population from what I could tell.

last contingent of Navy personnel left Midway on 30 June 1997, after an ambitious environmental cleanup program was completed.

I stand corrected. I didn't actually read the Wikipedia article; I didn't know that the navy no longer maintained the base there. Regardless, historically it has been of critical strategic importance and I imagine it would serve that same purpose in GEWar. Maybe a supply chain feature should be implemented where the further you get from your home base the higher the maintanence cost of your troops unless you have an uninterrupted chain of cities. That would make Pacific Islands *extremely* important, much like they were in World War II. Guess I'll go post that idea over in feature suggestions.
