Summary of the game

You will receive a PM with either a picture or a sentence.

If you get a picture, write a caption for the it. Not an inventory or a description of every object in it; a caption. For example:

Don't: There's an army of people dressed in white facing an army of people dressed in black with a heart floating in the air between them.

Do: Love is a battlefield.

If you get a sentence, draw a picture that you envision the sentence captioning. You can use paintbrush, photoshop, or pen, paper and scanner. You can use clipart or images found on the Internet, but they must be modified or put together in a way that makes it your own work. Try to keep the use of text to a minimum (if you have to have a thought or speech bubble, try using a picture in it to convey the meaning).

If you do not respond to the PM within 30 minutes (either with your entry or a message saying "I'm working on it!"), I'll skip you and go on to the next person. You can try again next round.

You don't have to be done in half an hour, I just need to know that you're working on it. You can take an hour or two, if you need it.

And your picture worked, for the most part. It's really best to go for something like a frame or two from a comic strip and not a flowchart, but it sure did mix things up.

I go to boarding school, I have classes off and on up until 6:00 at night. And then comes homework. And girlfriend time. And of course, actually playing GEWar. 30 minutes is just too short, methinks.

I like the 30 minute thing...keeps it live and ticking over and means that everyone at some point will get a chance to contribute...just means birq absolutely has to be online 24/7 though :D

The 30 minute thing is just 30 minutes to respond. You can work on it for an hour or more as long as I know you're actually doing it.

it's the complete pile up at the end that makes the game funny.
