View Full Version : City/country trivia multiplies city income
MkhitarSparapet 12-30-2005, 11:47 AM If you know a lot about your cities, then you should get more geos for them.
Thus, each city should have its "trivia" quiz.. which asks the owner a trivia question about the city/country. If the owner answers correctly, then that day's city income should be multiplied maybe by 2 or 3.
I think this will make GEWAR more educational and fun.
I'm all for more educational.
Then at least you have an extra excuse for playing ;)
ScarskiN 12-30-2005, 12:05 PM Lol :p I think its a good idea..... but from where do you want to get all these questions about the city's ?! there are something like 250 city or so... If there are 3 questions about every city (I think even more about the bigger city's) there would be more then 750 questions....
We'll hire a thousand monkeys to type at a thousand typewriters :)

Yes....i feel a headache coming....:sealed
...oh no you don't :hand don't you look at me like that, Luke.. I know what you're thinking and I'm not writing 750 questions.. ;)
*Tara chuckles manically

But the really good news is that you'll really need 000's of questions to keep this going - happy typing!

Yes, because you'd need new questions all the time
Uhmmmm....Tara? :kiss
WILDCAT1976 12-30-2005, 12:24 PM Good idea but a ton of work and all we would have to do is look it up on the internet...yes we would all learn something but we wouldn't be getting rewarded for what we know..we would be getting rewarded for looking stuff up... :p
I'd be happy to donate some time coming up with questions for a modest return - my jewel hunting isn't the quickest, and I would not attack the cities I give you the questions for!

No need to come up with new questions... There are entire databases of trivia questions online.... It doesn't even need to be 100% about that city.. maybe 60% about the city/country and the rest random.
For instance, here's one:

Well I was looking for alternative income!
p0wderfinger 12-30-2005, 09:57 PM I have a question... where are you going to find enough relevant information about towns with their population in the 10 thousands to even make the questions?
The only way at all for this to be possible would be for there to be a tie-in with wikipedia or something like that. Hmmm... that's an idea...
mitsubishievo_6 12-31-2005, 02:16 AM Well I'm sure you've all seen my numerous city requests on this forum and the maybe pointless fact I put with them sometimes, and you are all probably getting tired of them(!)....so who else is better qualified to set some questions up for the cities?
:p

:p
Problem is if we do it for a few, we need to do it for all, and that's just beyond feasibly possible.
