The parking lot in the middle of the picture is no longer there. What has replaced it?

Hint: The picture is is my hometown.

Ok, for the bonus points, the buildings that are gone are the two buildings in the parking lot on the bottom right and the building on the parking lot at the top centre(well, a tiny bit to the right of the centre).

I'm looking for something that is currently GONE, a building that has been demolished. As of yet nothing is rebuilt over the building I am thinking of.

It was a pretty sizable building, and once you figure out which buildings have been demolished recently it should be easy to see what it is.

I reckon the buildings i've circled in red in the attachment.

I think they were demolished to make way for extra roads.

good guess, jojimbo, but unfortunately no. The road what was widened was the one that goes to the NE corner of the map, there was no need to take down the buildings you said.

and sorry, bulletcrazy, but no. That building is still standing.

THat's so mean, I'm think I know which one it is, but by god, there is no page on the internet that'll tell me what the building is called, Though I do know what all the buildings around it are called. Awwww.

Ok, here's another guess, simply because I know what the buildings called, but I seriously doubt this is correct.

Ah fine, whatever, you've put in good effort and I doubt anyone is gonna go after it... so the answer is that it's the old convention center, demolished a few months ago... it's the building on the left with all the squares on top (only about half of it is visible in the picture).

I figured it was the building with squares, though not at first.
What through me off was that the construction photos on the Charlotte arena page showed the building with squares on top still standing in the background, but it was knocked down AFTER they were taken.
