T. Brendo 12-15-2005, 06:28 AM Stonehenge has always been very problematic. Stonehenge at GEH (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3831&highlight=stonehenge) A Good idea to its location (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3831&highlight=stonehenge) (Post #7) hixthebeast 12-15-2005, 08:29 AM there are two sites that stonehenge jewels can be found, one at the actual stonehenge site, and one quite a bit down and slightly to the right!!! david.m1fcf 01-30-2006, 11:48 AM there are two sites that stonehenge jewels can be found, one at the actual stonehenge site, and one quite a bit down and slightly to the right!!! And not even Stonehenge, but a place called 'Old Sarum' used to be the hill fort that dominated that part of the world. The town just south from there is Salisbury. Surely if there is this much confusion, the southerly of the two jewels should be renamed to 'Old Sarum'? As I suggested on this forum about 10 days ago? Old Sarum is a nationally and internationally recognised place name, and more info can be found at http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/oldsarum/ Just a thought.... big_scary_tree_monster 02-03-2006, 07:27 AM yes stonehenge is hard to find :rock :rock :rock i found it just north of salisbury, just follow davos instrustions and u should find. :bang :bang :bang RomulusJ 02-03-2006, 01:23 PM There are two stonehenges one is mislabelled. It SHOULD be old saren Now as At the moment I can not paly with Jewels locations I can not remove the one in error. So find one zoom out 14 miles and placemarke you should nail both locations that way in one polacemark How I tire of Stonehenge threads RomJ Placer of the Jewels - Some day jammo 02-03-2006, 11:29 PM can the filter that is used in these forums have the word Stonehenge added to it?!?! :D i've had enough of new posts always starting up on the same topic. |
