Silly little idea I had (it was 3am). What if you could associate a message with a city you own?

Warning, taunt, bluff... whatever. Just a silly little bit of code that would let you post a sign "on your city's limits" (ie in the pop-up you get when you click on a city).

Possible problem - ideally it would automatically blank-out when a new owner moves in.

Just a bit of potential fun.

lol, I think this is a pretty fun idea too.

I forsee many "trespassers will be shot" and "welcome to loserville, population: you" signs.

Sorry - that wasn't meant to be an insult. I was just continuing the quote from the Dirty Harry film.

Clint Eastwood:
"I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?"

No offence meant. Apologies araT and dreadpr

I've been meaning to post this idea for a while now.

This should be very easy to implement, and would be an interesting feature to have available.

Right now there is no way to communicate with an incoming army except via PM. It would be nice to be able to convey some sort of warning or something.

One place where I've really wanted this is in defending my home town. My home town is only 400k, so every noob and their mother tries to hit it. I'm NOT letting it go, but it's very expensive to retain becaue of this. If I could simply say "This City Is My Home Town And Will Be Defended To The Death", things could be much better.

I don't like the noobs wasting my troops for no reason, and they get REALLY pissy when they waste a few days of hard earned geos bashing off of a very heavily defended little city.

I really like this idea...it would be fun...I'd probably sit around sending armies (with no intention of attacking) just to see what their sign says :p ...But if that sign pee'd me off...then I would attack.

*bump*

Just trying to resurrect this one. I still think it'd be a fun idea, easy to code and allow possible strategic options for the serious player.

No losers here - it's all good.
