Talked about this for a loooong time.
Finally we came with the numbers on it.
Jewelhunt is supposed to be for a startup only.
So mickey designed a way to put a limit on it when you have enough resources.
We put the limit back in action, but with higher numbers.

Now this feature is bound to get a few bad reactions...but those will mostly be from scripters.
A few people might actually like the jewelhunt, but face is....90% hated it.
So what have I done before you all kill me:

I've doubled city taxes. Look at Tokyo for instance...thats almost TOO much.
We've got the stockmarket also.
Play that one right, it changes every 5 minutes.
I've lost a little on the testserver, but also made 1700geos within a few hours there once. With an investment of 400 geos.

So it's like this. If you own 2500 geos(33,000 troops), a 10,000,000 city(worth 176 geos a day) or 30,000 troops...you can't jewelhunt no more.
Now I might play a little with those numbers but the main thing is to get scripters to stop.
Don't forget that about 50 people are scripting here every day.

Now for those that play fair... those could never beat the scripters.
This will make the game fair.
You depend on city taxes, resources, interest and the stocks.

I'll also keep the Games for Geo's going even more, so everyone can still do some hunting for more money. Because that can't be scripted.

My only reaction to it is I would have liked some warning...I would have played differently over the last couple of days....and now everyone kinda knows what I got....come on over NAR :(

I'm not a scripter.....I just spend hours and hours doing it(that's called a pathetic person). That's the only way smaller people can hold off the big boys (NAR) and that doesn't even always work (Cape Town)....hmmmmm

Overall I like the idea....now I can have somewhat of a life :p just would have liked to have known in advance...other than that....it's cool

p.s....love the investment stuff

smaller boys, wha, you did manage to get together an army which the NAR almost didnt beat. only through our great finesse and cunning plans, and tactical battle plans (and about 20k troops more) did we win.

This affects NAR as well. Really. As they have been most active of all players.
But I'll make sure you guys always have something to do thats more fun then the mindkilling jewel hunt :D

I'm against it like it is. I'd like to get my 200-500 jewels a day no matter my income or troop levels. Sometimes when your bg you still need to Jewel hunt to stay big.

Mickey did everything he could to stop it, and still there are at least 5 different scripts i've seen that found a way around it.
Totally automatic.
So you can jewelhunt as much as you want but at least 50 people here(and i can see it) are sleeping while jewelhunting ;)

I just don't sleep and loose track of days.. First Friday this game was up I thought it was Thursday so missed two important appointments.

Can you tell who the scripters are - and then out them?

The rest of us can sort them out then.

it's hard to prove someone to be a scripter, because some people are just maniacs, and some use scripts.

and its better to make sure noone can script, then rely on the mods to find them, that would start to take too much of their time.

If I will be a donator this limits will be change? If a donator not have a limit, I will be a donator now, because this is the better way to win geos...

There are no jewel limits for donators for 2 reasons:
1) They aren't fake accounts
2) To give them a little advantage

I would like to see even more stricter rules because its totally not fair that scripters can make a few thousand geos without actually earning them.

I think that if the players need a lot of money, they can get the money immediately. :(
