View Full Version : The Ultimate Jewel File!! Faster!! Complete!!
hhmira 07-25-2006, 02:35 AM Friends,
This is a complete list of all existed jewels (I hope), with the following advantages:
- all jewel places were relocated, so the jewel will appear exactly at the center of the screen. It will make your jewel hunt faster, and no more "I canīt find Stonehenge, Lake Titikaka, Panama Canal, etc, etc"
- Alphabetical order
- Qualifiers like "Mount" and "The" were droped. So, Alphabetical order without these qualifiers.
- As many of you know, Stonehenge has 2 places. Here you will find the exact location of these two places.
Another good hint to speed up your search ;)
- place your "Gewar - Jewel Hunting" inside of the jewel file, between "Moscow Airport" and "Nagasaki". You will spend (after some practice) half of the time to find the jewel in your list...
If you think it is worth for you, and want to donate something for the effort, I will be very glad... ;91
Painkiller 07-25-2006, 02:56 AM i was thinking of doing one, but haven't collected quite enough locations. ;bunny thank you so much! ;90 ;90
Generic42 07-25-2006, 02:57 AM Wow, the relocating of jewel hunt kml is genius... no to the most admired players thread to add this... lol
Snuffy 07-26-2006, 12:41 AM Wow this is really helpful! Couldn't be better :)
siddharthagandhi 07-27-2006, 07:49 PM Error in the Jewel File:
Its pebble beach, not peeble beach
Smallprint 07-27-2006, 07:55 PM Thanks alot for this, I was stuck on Panama Canal for ages, I was clicking all over it.
hhmira 07-27-2006, 11:51 PM Error in the Jewel File:

Cīmon!!
Always complaining... hahaha :p
my turn:
hmmm, nobody sent any donation for this effort... I think that the Stock Algorithmīs change made everybody more restrained... :sad
cheers! And thanks for all the compliments... ;94
siddharthagandhi 07-28-2006, 12:15 AM I will definetly send donation when I have more geos. This took a lot of work, and its a great file.
SilentLucidity 08-05-2006, 12:54 AM Thanks HHMira. You have no idea how long I spent combing lake ****#ing Titicaca!!!
dopesmoker 08-06-2006, 05:02 AM Probably nothing worth complaining about, but Cristo Redentor and Christ the Redeemer are the same place, it is just that one of them is in Spanish. Great file, helps alot.

hehe, they are considered 2 different jewels (if you click on it, you will see that they are slightly different). But you are right, since they point to a same place.
Something similar you will see with the Brandenbug Tor and Brandenburg Gate Berlin...
Just one correction: "Cristo Redentor" is not spanish, but portuguese (maybe it is the same in spanish, but...). It is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Thanks for the compliments.
BraveryOnions 08-26-2006, 07:53 PM this is awesome!
just wondering, why does it say "ok" after every location?
cellocello 08-31-2006, 11:14 AM this is awesome!
just wondering, why does it say "ok" after every location?
yeah why does it say ok
bebop1065 08-31-2006, 02:48 PM Probably a personal note to the author while the locations were being recorded.
shallowminded 10-04-2006, 05:16 AM A great help, especially to us new players who don't otherwise know what the heck is going on.
Thanks!
WaywardTraveller 10-04-2006, 01:22 PM Hehe, it worked hhmira, look at them asking questions ;)
wesleys 10-04-2006, 02:07 PM I use a similar file but rather then having all the locations visible at the same time I have sorted mine into lettered sub folders. "A","B","C" etc.
This means I do not have to scroll all 120+ location to find the one I want.
For example: When I am looking for the next location, say Machu Pichu, I jump to the "M" folder, expand it, double click "Machu Pichu" (the search list is a lot smaller, M contains 4 locations) and while GE is repositioning to the location I collapse the "M" folder ready for my next location.
Thought I would share this but I guess each player finds their own system.
WaywardTraveller 10-04-2006, 02:30 PM Another option that works well, put your jewel kml in the middle of your jewel locations list, you'll be amazed how much it speeds up jewelling.
I suggest between L and M, but that's just me ;)

Veronya Cave - 43 24 35 N 40 21 44 E
Thanks to Wikipedia :)
And another one I could not find in the files: (May be old age, lol).
Estadio Jose Avalade - 38°45'27.00"N 9° 9'42.46"W
And Apple River is missing, but type it in the search bar and it goes straight to the jewel anyhow :D
hhmira 09-07-2008, 01:12 PM New jewels has been added by admins on a daily basis, so it is almost impossible to have a fully updated file.
But here is a fresh one, with many of new jewels, so you can use it.
File advantage is that it is on alphabetical order, and all geos (with no exception) appear in the center of the screen, at 1km high. This can extremelly improve your jewel hunt speed. :)

sagetab 09-07-2008, 01:39 PM These Jewel files are a lifesaver, Thanks guys :)
Of course, Admin WILL make it harder by adding more all the time, lol. I think if we post any we find that are not on the list then it will make it easier for the list creators to keep the file updated ...
I most certainly appreciate all the work done by hhmira et al, a BIG hug of gratitude to you :)

sagetab 09-07-2008, 09:35 PM And, just to give us a hard time, Admin added some more...

Sorry, but what would be the advantage of having subfolders?
I mean, it is only a new click you are introducing in your jewel hunt, I mean, some clicks. You need to open the subfolder, find the jewel, and close it again to find the next one.
I donīt think it is good to have. Mine is on alphabetical order, what is enough for you to find.
Make a test, and check which jewel file is faster.... Maybe you are right, but I am not sure...
ps: if there isnīt new jewels during the hunt, and with my internet speed, I find 50 jewels in 8.5 minutes using my file. I think it is very fast...

Well, it's at least questionable. I never heard of someone who sold his jewel location files, in particular not iverson or hhmira. They always gave them out for free and I doubt it's a good idea to take their work, add some more locations and make money from it.
zTodd 11-29-2008, 02:41 PM I added two more. Ah, ok, I'll just share it then. Whoever wants to send me 50 geos that would still be ok. ;)

ProfHuckeduster 02-01-2009, 03:56 PM Hi Guys!
Any ideas for "General Belgrano"?
Found a village in Argentina, but no jewel.
And it was a battleship which sank near the Falkland Islands.

Hi Guys!
Any ideas for "General Belgrano"?
Found a village in Argentina, but no jewel.
And it was a battleship which sank near the Falkland Islands.
Greets
Should be at that village - zoom out a little?
ProfHuckeduster 02-01-2009, 05:02 PM Sure I zoomed out! But to which height are the jewels visible? 5km!?
And I zoomed in to under 1km heigt in that area. Nothing.
At the coordinates from ghetto bob, there is nothing to find, either.
And btw I made sure not to be at 50 jewels atm. ;)
Any help is appreciated...
ProfHuckeduster 02-01-2009, 05:16 PM So...finally I got it:
I searched at "Villa general belgrano" and somewhere else there
is a place "General Belgrano". However...here the mark:
35°46'3.57"S 58°29'45.71"W
Thanks to uns_uwe! :drinks
thomas85 02-01-2009, 05:17 PM You already found it, but to pick up the jewel you must be closer than 55km.
Sure I zoomed out! But to which height are the jewels visible? 5km!?

I found it a bit far from there, still in australia, but I had to zoom in preety close of the ground (less than 12km). It was a weird behavior...

HansV 02-02-2009, 10:18 AM Problem solved: I closed GE and restarted; after that the jewel appeared. Twice! Clicking the first lead to a 'file not found', clicking the 2nd worked fine. Seems to be a bug?

That seems to be a very difficult one. Google search doesn't find the exact phrase, and GE can't find it when not even knowing the country.
Faye, check again if the spelling is really correct. These letters are indeed hard to identify sometimes.

I've deleted those jewels that were disabled.

King_Diamond 07-16-2011, 11:46 AM The jewel "Badlands Guardian" doesn't show!
You are correct. I made a typo. The '-' in the coordinates was absent. Try again now.
King_Diamond 07-16-2011, 02:08 PM Works now. Thanks.
HellCarrot 07-20-2011, 02:51 PM jeweling sucks and I HATE YOU KING DIAMOND
But as I insert more jewellocations, the convertion rate of jewels is slowly rising as well. It can sometimes be a boring job(trust me I know...I've tried jewelling as well this round), but trying to make it worthwile.
HellCarrot 07-21-2011, 02:02 AM then i have to bug people to give me the new ones. and that is annoying for them ;) I HATE TO JEWEL IT IS BORING and it takes to long for such a little amount of cash esp at the start of the game.
you will never convince me it is worth it
Starbuck 07-21-2011, 05:36 AM This is the first round that it is worth it to jewel, I mean the extra cash is always good to have but this round it's worth more then ever. Specially for the start of a round.
King_Diamond 07-21-2011, 10:55 AM Sorry for getting off-topic. Back to jewelling: Can we get the double locations out of the list?
thomas85 07-21-2011, 10:56 AM I bet we can. Open a new thread in Support and list the double locations.
HellCarrot 07-21-2011, 10:57 AM i have complete list KD if you can tell me how to send it to you. msn me :)
hahahaha i have a complete list, i find that sooo funny
stanley6148 07-21-2011, 10:58 AM Jeweling is no fun for sure. But look at it this way. Even if you only do 100 a day. That's the same as income from approx. 8 cities.
HellCarrot 07-21-2011, 11:05 AM yeah i know stanley. I just think for the amount of time and for how boring it is, it would be better if it was 5 or 10 geos for each jewel.
I hate it but i am doing for the reason you stated. I dont want to hold cities, so if i dont want to hold cities i need to jewel to make up for it :( and it sucks
