Since I am obviously the expert on this, Luke never said publicly what was bannable and what was "discouraged".

1. Using the exact same name = bannable.
2. Use a different name that looks the same (change an L to a 1): Discouraged
3. Use a different name that looks the same but is mispelled: Discouraged
4. Use a name that looks similar but is not the same (The Whirlpoop Alliance): Allowed

An admin can speak to this, but that is what Luke PMed me when I asked.

Only Luke or Dani can fix this as far as I know... Sorry guys

In the new game you cant have the same alliance name. I dont know exactly what you can do for instance just make 1 letter uppercase or something. But I know you cant have the exact name.

How about hte new game only donators can make an alliance?

would be a nice incentive to donate... and cut down on the names...

Nice incentive to donate...but that would make it even harder on newbs...as most seem to think an alliance is their best option for getting cities and being somewhat protected...

Yeah might make em read though and join an alliance. Interesting idea to kick arond before the reset though.
