When the money is in the bank, the interest is 3.75% compounded every 5 minutes, however, in the "financial overview" area, your interest from bank is simply calculated by taking 3.75% straight.
I think this can be qualified as a bug and is easy enough to fix that it should be fixed! :) not that its a life-threatening emergency, but its good to have an accurate picture of your financial status..
Or put bank interest in the useable funds...would solve it also.
Would also solve the army upkeep costs when being away for a while.

Actually luke, I like this idea!!!!! Too easy to deposit all money into account and forget to leave some for your over-protected cities.

Hmm. not sure if I like it.
The entire purpose of having usable funds is to manage your money well and managing the bank is one aspect of it.
Plus, it would still require modification of the financial overview page so that the bank interest is not calculated at all. :)

The other way is to actually give the compounded amount for a 24 hour period.
compunded amount=amount in bank*((0.0375/288+1)^288)
remembering that there are 288 5 minute increments in 24 hours
or even easier compunded interest = amount in bank * 1.03820946 (rough enough)
Which ever suits, we're not playing for sheep stations.
