You need to post also: coordinates city population wikipedia or other link to informational site also make sure it's not too crouded with cities where you request it :) no you dont. Read the sticky blitz has. Although this is ideal for me, if you just say ; Title: Kolkata, India can this city be added please? I will do the legwork myself. Also when did you become a moderator? Generic42 07-18-2006, 03:54 AM Really? Thougt that was required, lol Well that's what happens when I try to do what zinc does :p  With the last question is that to me or Blitz? I'm not a mod, I wish xorgthezombie 07-18-2006, 04:01 AM I'm not a mod, I wish No you dont. Trust me, with all the death threats, bomb threats, and ferret threats that those men and women go through, its enough to not only gray every hair on your entire body, but turn them totally transparent. Plus, the pay is lousy, and there are almost no benifits. Trust me, being a mod is a hard work, and has no returns. Well, saying that, I'm off to ferret threat Mercury. That'll teacher her for... um... moderating us crazies... Generic42 07-18-2006, 04:06 AM Hm, but it'd be a good excuse to spend all this time on the forums, and I could actually say Iw as helping Gewar xorgthezombie 07-18-2006, 04:21 AM Well, in any case, Sacramento is too close ot San Fransisco. And now that I've added to the thread so it doesn't become off topic, I think I shall rant some more. Mods get to their position from hard work, sacrifice, and the occasional bout of mods getting booted for cheating. What this means is that you have to be dedicated to resolve all the problems of the forums. And not just resolve them, but do it nuetrally. Think about it. Don't you just want to completely rant to people for making "Add This City" threads without even glancing at the search bar first? I know I do! But mods? No, they have to politely say "Oops! Another mistake! That's alright, dont do it again" and in thier head, "Or I'll crunking blow you to peices, you sniveling little rat-faced git." And of course, because one is a mod, EVERYONE goes to them for their problems, no matter how small. I bet Mercury could attest to that (Which she kind of has to, since she is a mod). And so, with great power comes great responsibility. I forget who said that. Sounds like Star Wars or something. But remember it when filling out your application for Moddality. Speaking of which, here is the form. You just fill this out and send it in triplicate to everyone you can think of, mods, admins, alliance members, Peonboss, whoever: Hello [Recipient's Name], I'm messaging you because I want to become a mod. I figure that the only way for me to do this is to pm everyone in the game and tell them that I should be a mod. What you need to do, and I have special permission from anyone that metters to tell you this, is to pm everyone you can think of, and tell them to pm everyone they can think of about how I should be a mod. And tell everyone to pm the mods about this. And you pm the mods about this. I'm sure they will appreciate it. ~Sincerely [Own Name] (end of letter) PS: Dont actually do this, or I'm screwed... Blitzkrieg 07-18-2006, 09:01 AM Yeah what xorg said..... Well the bit about Sacremento being too close to San Fran, the rest..... Well there goes 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back :) but Gen42 gave good advice aswell - re: "make sure it's not too crouded with cities where you request it". It's the main reason a city gets rejected - larger city takes precedent - or in a lot of cases, small nearby town's populations are included in an agglomeration total (see Tokyo's metro and agglomerated populations) Anyhoo. Being a mod is cool because you can guarantee yourself the last word. thusly |
