Kesaph 07-11-2006, 10:01 PM when are the winnings paid out? Generic42 07-12-2006, 02:47 AM Arg, I be buyin' me a ticket thesarge 07-12-2006, 06:38 AM luke pays out normally later that night, the draw is at 1700 uk time. Luke 07-12-2006, 08:47 AM luke pays out normally later that night, the draw is at 1700 uk time. thesarge or mrssarge is usually one of the winners then :D thesarge 07-12-2006, 06:34 PM well as they say " you`ve got to be in it to win it ". :D Sunshine31 07-12-2006, 06:44 PM Yes but for a refreshing change you didn't :D :D kc2kfq 07-13-2006, 03:42 PM okay- i finally went and bought a ticket- I really dont care if i dont win but if i do win- well yippee. palau 07-21-2006, 09:42 AM When will the Lottery be up again? Luke 07-21-2006, 09:46 AM I didn't want to do it right away. I don't think many will buy a ticket anyway already...but if now someone wins 2000 geos it gives them a huuuge advantage. scanlan 07-21-2006, 09:49 AM more so than someone who has already jewelled to 2000? Luke 07-21-2006, 09:53 AM more so than someone who has already jewelled to 2000? No idea. Nobody has that amount yet :D WILDCAT1976 07-21-2006, 01:48 PM I didn't want to do it right away. I don't think many will buy a ticket anyway already...but if now someone wins 2000 geos it gives them a huuuge advantage. I think we should try the old way....unlimited 100 geo tickets. Nobody "rich" yet and it would be a big time risk right now....be fun to see how many people buy....would they spend all their geos???? hehehehe and win nothing? or hit it big.... Cosmo_Kramer 07-27-2006, 04:31 AM Are we any closer to re-opening the lottery? The reset is a week old now, and I actually have a few Geos to spare. The Lottery is always a good place to spend those excess Geos... Eric the Loser 07-27-2006, 04:36 AM I didn't want to do it right away. I don't think many will buy a ticket anyway already...but if now someone wins 2000 geos it gives them a huuuge advantage. How about lowering the cost of tickets and the win amount then? jraatz564 07-27-2006, 01:27 PM Change it back to 10 geos per ticket, unlimited tickets. Just like the good ol' days when hix won way over 50K geos here (http://www.gewar.net/forums/lottery.php?do=winners). Quorg 07-27-2006, 09:41 PM Change it back to 10 geos per ticket, unlimited tickets. Just like the good ol' days when hix won way over 50K geos here (http://www.gewar.net/forums/lottery.php?do=winners). I hate to say it, but that was kind of not working. Sorry, Hix- although you were ery smart to buy out the tickets before. Would someone be able to buy themselves better than 50% odds in any real lottery? I think not. Plus, limiting the tickets to one per person gives non-hardcore players like myself something to fair to do. Generic42 07-28-2006, 01:14 AM maybe 50 geos a go with one ticket Cosmo_Kramer 07-28-2006, 05:21 AM It seems like time to restart this at least with some price to a ticket, be it 10, 50, or 100 Geos per ticket. By now worrying about inequality is moot, since the tables are a long way from being equal. Right now, the people who've owned cities like New York and Tokyo are well beyond the financial means of someone who, for example, has owned the city of Trabzon for the whole time since the reset. To say nothing of the lucky players who own the resource cities. Seems like this would help the lesser players make up some of the financial distance. JimRaynor117 07-28-2006, 01:30 PM Jimmy's too poor to buy one....sniffle* ConcreteMonkey 07-29-2006, 06:29 AM Seems like this would help the lesser players make up some of the financial distance. That would only happen should the wealthy players not participate. Chances are, they will. And if Mr & Mrs Sarge don't enter, it will be luck of the draw who wins. If Mr & Mrs Sarge do enter, chances are that one of them will win. :D Some folks are born lucky. ;ipunk Sunshine31 07-29-2006, 06:43 AM You are not kidding Concrete, the point is though they are lucky on here with the lottery, but not in the real life one. thesarge 07-29-2006, 06:49 AM too true, apparantly my second income starts again on monday....woopeeee ;drunk Luke 07-31-2006, 04:41 PM Yep. Your main income is online again ;) Cosmo_Kramer 07-31-2006, 05:36 PM Woot! Now all we need is the city taxes for smaller cities back up... But hey, good job with the new confirmation codes, they're much easier to read now. ;woop aravan 08-02-2006, 07:57 PM Are the payouts automatic or manual? Wasnt sure and couldnt remember if I asked before... **edit ** Never mind. I see it was answered earlier in the thread... danqueca 08-03-2006, 03:47 PM The ticket price should be at least 25 geos, to make it worth it thesarge 08-03-2006, 05:29 PM Arrrgghhhhh, i havent won yet  Luke 08-03-2006, 05:41 PM Arrrgghhhhh, i havent won yet  Maybe the system thinks the jackpot isn't high enough for ya yet :) Sunshine31 08-03-2006, 05:57 PM I like to think the system think he has had his fair share of wins and should give some other players a chance!!! Love Ya Sarge :p scaryhotdog 08-03-2006, 06:10 PM Winning is fun, but the lottery hates me...I do it most days, and I never get the payout...can you arrange that everytime I enter, I win? That would make life a lot less stressful...thanks guys... Sunshine31 08-03-2006, 06:48 PM Winning is fun, but the lottery hates me...I do it most days, and I never get the payout...can you arrange that everytime I enter, I win? That would make life a lot less stressful...thanks guys... Scary change your name to thesarge or Mrs Sarge for some reason there seems to be a bit of luck in them names. lol scaryhotdog 08-03-2006, 06:52 PM Aahhh well that is obviously because in ancient Hindi the name sarge means wealth on your family, or as we now interpret it Good Luck...or I may have just made that up...but the lottery is a good way for me to waste 10 geos every so often. I have always wondered though...where does that money go?Could you make it so that it is wired into my account? And does someone win every time or is it like the real lotto? Luke 08-03-2006, 07:47 PM http://www.gewar.net/forums/lottery.php?do=winners They always win....well for 99%. 1% dissapears :) Was meant for a reason. When you could buy unlimited tickets, it would mean if someone would buy all tickets, he would always lose a little. Now it stayed that way....who knows perhaps for a future bonus city :) thesarge 08-07-2006, 09:18 PM nice too see the mrs won yesterday......he he he he. ;smoking Sunshine31 08-07-2006, 09:36 PM If I didn't know better I would say you had the luck of the Irish Sarge. And I hope your smiley does not mean you are smoking again tsk tsk. brobie 08-19-2006, 08:12 PM Is it time to up the ante a little for the lottery? I think most of us can afford more than 10 geos now :) SilentLucidity 08-19-2006, 08:39 PM Yeah concur I think 15 or 20 geos shoulbe be okay now although I never win!! Games Master 08-19-2006, 09:22 PM Once luke gets back from his holiday ill talk to him and we will change it. Scrat 08-20-2006, 10:04 PM Yes, I agree. It should still be a relatively low amount of geos, definatly under 50, so it's still affordable for new players, but can still be a casual flutter for the average player, with a reasonable reward. Games Master 08-25-2006, 09:11 PM After the draw on the 26th aug, the lottery tickets will go back go 100 geo`s per ticket ;drunk ( still only one per player). Games Master 10-02-2006, 03:02 PM Lottery will be back online tonight folks, buy, buy, buy. thesarge 10-02-2006, 04:34 PM Its working now, ohh i was worried there for a minute....phew. |
