Timmetie 12-15-2005, 05:46 AM but the game needs to be centered around Google Earth, i think it's fine as it is now. araT 12-15-2005, 06:02 AM I'm with Timmy on this one.. Google Earth should be open anyway T. shadowdani 12-15-2005, 07:32 AM I know that the game is built upon Google Earth, but for someone at work, who cannot install Google Earth, this becomes a problem. birq 12-15-2005, 07:34 AM I think they have a point with the original topic, though. The web interface has huge chunks of information, but key pieces are just missing. For example, in the web interface, you can see how many armies are headed to a city and who owns them and even what the armies' names are fer Pete's sake, but you can't see how long it will take them to get there. Why not? Is there a specific reason, or was that just the way it was done? The information is available if you click on the army in GE, but not if you look at the army in the web interface. Likewise, on a user's details page, you can see how many armies they have, but you can't see the armies' names or where they're headed. Again, why? The information is available, but it's not shown in the web interface. My point (in a very roundabout way, apparently) is that the web interface should really be full-featured or bare bones. At the very least, it should be consistent about what kinds of information you'll be able to find there and what you'll have to find in GE. There's just not any real consistency in it now. Timmetie 12-15-2005, 11:53 AM in time, i hope that we can add more and more to GE, as mickey was trying to do i believe. it's a Google Earth based game, if you can't install it, there's always tetris (The world domination MOD). |
