If the bank can hold your money you might as well be able to get a loan from it too. This would be great for start up players who have a hard time jewel hunting, or for anyone who needs to strengthen their troops quickly. Probably loan amounts could be 1000, 2000, 3000 even but the player would need to pay back say 10%. Just a suggestion.

hehehe no never.
It's been discussed before. It's impossible.
People would just make a lot of fake accounts for loans.
And other people who don't have fake accounts could loan a lot of money and just get in debt and stop playing(or reregister).
There is absolutely no way in the world that the loans are possible I'm afraid.

You can't send Tara around to break their kneecaps if they don't pay it back? :) I'm sure she'd enjoy the duty, and I'm positive she'd be good at it :D

don't let this stop you to start your own banking service though, ofcourse you'd be in charge of checking the credit of your lowners yourself.
also maby the ability to take money from ones homebase (to just name an idea) would make you be able to strike at the non-payers.
go nuts :)
hahahaha no this would just make people want to create fake accounts.
For this feature I'd like to take a quote from Timmetie:
Never ever ever

damn, i swear i just had the private bank idea yesterday night! Something like giving 4.5% daily interest to investors and charging about 8% to creditors.
it is difficult to say if it pays off. It requires time you could spend jeweling. And scripts are not allowed so all bank transfers and PMs have to be done manually. AND some will not pay back (even if you publish a blacklist or attack them). Finally, it would only make sense as an independent player otherwise it is a mess (what to charge the enemies, 30%? :D)
hehehe, it's a great idea, but it will never come.
Because making fake accounts is wayyy too easy.

yeah, the private one
i will recommend this to the next newbie complaining about not getting any cities. It will be our nice little secret experiment ;)
And who has enough cash and armies to do this private bank then? ;)

well, you get cash from the debitors, and give it to creditors. Just like regular banks.
the bank might as well go bankruptcy :D
But people would just not pay you back and say 'hey, what are you gonna do about it?'

he would then proceed to raid their homebases..
To attack the forces he just paid for?

Well, he could do this, but he'd need 100k starting cash, to get his money when people don't pay.
I think it'd be a great experiment, but it'll take some serious saving first. Feel free to deposit in my account if you want to see this happen...
