OK people, have a look at the image for the clue on how to solve this.....

PM the answer on this thread if you get it.

Very easy!

Well that's the Lincoln Memorial in DC and the lawn with the Capital at the end.

Yeah I know how to decode this, but I won't do it unless you throw some geos in :)

because they are all stright lines or just a dot, no curves but i checked some runic alphabet and can`t find any matches and even if it did, how would that connect to that hint.

Brendo thinks he knows how to do it

But I don't remember what the thing is called, but here is a hint (not sure if the letters are correct):

..A
..V
B><C.....<- Those for in an X Shape
..^
..D

V =A, >=b, etc

There are two X shape ones and two 'noughts and crosses' (tic-tac-toe) shaped ones.

Anyone near to getting it yet?

I will say that there are a couple of different ways of decoding this, but only one will give you the correct translation!

thanks to the gamesmaster for offering a prize on this!

well I've studied this till I'm blue in the face and I can't quite get it to work out...and at the risk of blowing the prize for not getting it quite right I'm posting my answer below....I believe however that there are some typos in the code so perhaps Chris will let me off :)

Anyway...first off all, thanks Chris and goodbye, best wishes for the future.......

My translation:
JUST A QUICK MESSAGE TO TELL EVERYBODY (Q/I?) AM LEAVING THE GAME.
I'D LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THE GAME SO GOOD.
(W?)ISHING YOU ALL (W?)ELL FOR THE FUTURE.
(F/P)LEASE (B/P)ASS ALONG MY REGARDS TO EVERYBODY.
(E/C)HRIS
PY

questionmarks are where I've found inconsistencies in the code.

Congratulations to othafa, you have won 500 geos....

Method used: the code was a pigpen cipher, used by the freemasons...The picture clue was a reference to the masonic theme of washington, check it out on GE, some of the layout is weird!

For the encoding, rather than using a graphics programme to draw the symbols, I download the Royal arch pigpen truetype font....that may explain the slight inconsistency in the code........

This was my way of bowing out of the game, one final time I would like to say thanks to everybody for having a go at some of the games I have posted, I may pop in every now and again to post some more!

Best regards

Chris

Good luck in whatever is making you stop playing the game!

haha...you mean I could have just checked out some masonic code rather than work it out on symbol frequency!!!

I had no idea what Washington had to do with it...I wasted a good hour checking out the Getysburg address and Lincolns second innaugural speech....sheesh!!

Anyway, thanks, this beats jeweling.

Thanks Shadownation, I'm quitting so I can spend more time with my fiancee and our kids...a worthy reason I think! lol

I may post another game in the future, it depends on demand, or if I can think of something clever enough to bamboozle you all.....only time will tell! Im just glad people enjoyed working them out!
