Wow you formed an alliance that can dominate the round by shear number...origional? I applaud the small alliances that have formed, they show the true color of the game.

cookch, you may want to do some fact checking, Hellcarrot was the leader for a while of one of the more influencial alliances that GeWar has ever seen, unfortunately their play style is not one that works in the newer version of this game. She's never participated in AI, but has been able to keep friends in the game, while fighting them, and simply wishes them well in their new re-united state. You seem like a good player with some potential, I would like to know more about you, on or off the field.

I don't realy see an agenda... just an alliance trying to dominate the game by brute force. Rm we discussed long and hard 4 months ago about the need for more smaller alliances. But you joined a large alliance and your opinion changed. I say more fun could be had with several alliances of 5 to 10. More chaos. This goes hand in hand with the idea of BUILDING an empire... not becoming an empire then building.

Haven't changed my opinion as such, however as I've said elsewhere the blaming AI for retaining 20-30 players for 3 years or more now is foolish and promoting an agenda. Look at the title thread and ask yourself what the true issue is - is it 1) AI are to blame for the game being in decline because they're the largest alliance who have survived, or is it 2) why did all the other alliances listed in the thread title fold after failing to retain players and what caused those players to leave?
Quite simply the game is in decline because of many core issues and the fact that AI are the last traditional large alliance is a result of other problems, not the root cause. Of course, if you think being in the 2nd largest alliance gives you rights to complain against AI then that's entirely different, but I'd suggest you and Peon are twisting and blurring the issue.

The way I see it people flocked to our alliance because they could not survive due to your ballooned size. We were small for a day or so until people realized they had no chance. I almost perferred it when goh vi and ai were seperated...gave the impression of a fighting chance...damn what other alliances came in 3 parts....

AI's "ballooned size"? You do realise AI have been 20-30 members every round for 3 years now right?

Ah so similiar to wto, you don't get outside your own group and socilize. And last round was a pretty poor attempt btw... not really an attempt at all, just masking your behavior. Any other ways you resemble them?... though I will say you talk.

Ai was formed back in the day (2008ish I wanna say??? been a while) when there were not only giant alliances, but many of them. Natives, TLI, NAOAW, AI, 3rd and WTO all had at least 20+ members, sometimes up to 40. We had other alliances (Vulture, Misfits, Band Of Brothers, JPF etc) with anywhere from 8-15 members.
Back then, AI started as a medium sized alliance that took no bull****, hardly ever NAPed, and encouraged all their members to fight and never lay down and take it on the chin. Over time, as players began having their butts handed to them in the battlefield, a few like-minded players ended up becoming friends with AI members and the alliance grew. We talk a lot out of the game as well as in our alliance page, we're like-minded and encourage each other to have fun.
I share your sentiments cook, and you're probably right. However this is the reason why there are so many people in AI still, when the other big alliances from history have crumbled away (in fact, AI picked up some refugees from old alliances). Raging is right when he says AI is a symptom of the core problems with the game, not the actual problem. Most of our members have been playing a while and we know where we belong. It just sucks that there arent 3-4 other alliances similar in size.

Pb had the balls to start an alliance with albiet similiar princials, but looked outside thebox and invited people, yourself included, that are not normally on this side. Hollowcost did the same thing with red dawn last round by inviting pb and I. Red dawn was really fun to fight with, and this round is shaping up the same with peter principal

And the true agenda becomes clear. Thanks, nice to see some good ol' fashioned provocation still works now and again on here.
I'll leave you to believe whatever Peolaomeo tells you, however there's always two sides to a coin.
I think you had a whole thread dedicated to bad mouthing wto for their size and lack of sociability.WTO had over 75 people in three different alliances...how can that compare to AI.
Lack of sociability what does this mean?

Basically Peon and his band of goons, including Cookie boy, are all bitter and twisted because they picked a war with everyone in the game last round whilst relying on the fact that WTO and their cheating members would back them up.
Since I exposed not only WTO for the cheats they were, but also pushed the most bitter and twisted man to ever play the game, Laomeo, into the spotlight, it appears that now there's a vendetta to prove that AI are bad for the game. They are likening AI to WTO because that's the easy thing to do, however they're ignoring all the differences - cough*** cheats ***cough.
It's quite funny really, just leave them to it though, the bitterness and lies will unravel them in the end.

I've seen the innocent act played before Peon, it's never suited you very well. If you're not directly responsible for agendas such as those here then you're usually pretty close to them behind the scenes. Don't get me wrong, I've come to respect your artful ways, however I've kinda got used to watching them from afar rather than being in the centre of them - and on that note I don't think we've got much else to say, I'm walking back to my seat in the stalls haha.

Currently there are 67 active players, 28 of which are ai (41%).
.. just looked at that excel spreadsheet lucky had.. damn we had 95 active players last round, we've net lost around 30 players, ****. at the current rate it will be just you guys next round. wto may have killed the game, but i think you guys are putting the nail in the coffin....

Yeah you see the strange thing is that although it's you talking, all I hear are the ramblings of 2-3 other very familiar voices.
Let's take the stats you're using for example. 67 active players? Explain why there are 78 players who have killed hitpoints then.
If you've learnt anything from me as you claim, then as my campaign against WTO showed, I don't speak before I'm 100% sure of something, and more importantly, I always use real stats as opposed to making crap up.

This thread is getting a bit boring... We've all played in big alliances (by all I mean the people who keep complaining about AI) so why is it all of a sudden a big issue because AI is still big and all others aren't here anymore...
Again, it's not our fault these other alliance had to split up because they of members quitting... When I started the game I played with my home town peeps and it was fun but I had to join 3rd later coz almost all of them quit playing, then 3rd's members started to become less and less active and I once again had to find another team to play with and ended up with GOH and this round AI

How about this for an idea?
During this round, a vote be held for which alliances of days gone by players would like to see return. As a result of that poll, players could then submit themselves as potential new leaders of the old-school, now non-existent, alliances of the past that are voted in say the top 5? Further votes/polls could then be held to decide leaders of those alliances next round, giving players the opportunity to join an alliance of their choosing with a publicly popular leader?
lf someone from Staff is happy to, maybe they could manage the creation of threads for players to submit themselves as potential leaders (or it could be done by PM), plus they could create the resulting polls?
Just thinking it could provide some diversity for next round, not to mention some opportunity for the good ol' days to be relived - even if just for one round!
If this process could be completed by 1 month before the end of this round, those elected as leaders would have time to prepare and recruit for the next round. I would also suggest that all registered players be emailed by Luke at the reset, with that email including the fact that old-school alliances have been reformed, hopefully with the effect of attracting vets who have left the game.
Thoughts?
Note: Despite my insistence to the contrary on the helpdesk, this is now officially my last discussion starting post that attempts to generate discussion for the good of the game.
