When the forums are even more of a ghost town than they already are, and when ad-blocks are in place 24/7 perhaps the powers that be will see why us "peons" should not be mishandled.

I love this game, but I am done with these forums. Listen to that. Can you hear it? All the cheers from my enemies. I am silenced. This means I have even more time to JEWel, and an even bigger appetite for causing "in-game" heart-ache. So in fact, my enemies will realize soon enough that my "silence" isn't the welcomed "gift" they thought they would be receiving.

If the admin, staff, and Luke only knew what the majority of players around here actually felt about how the forums are handled. No one ever says anything because they know there is absolutely no point to it. Nothing will change, and if you raise a fuss, you will be banned.

its been like that since i first played, although recent changes drove away lot of players, i remember when there used to tons of fights and posts in general on the forums all the time and over hundred users active on the forums

I'll post once because I think the thread deserves an explaination.

The money Luke recieves to run this game for all of comes from 2 sources. Donations and advertising revenue.

Google Ads are very strict in their criteria and as Luke posted earlier, there are uncountable instances of them pulling from sites because of what they deem objectional content.

Although I can see the humor in a post such as the one that I edited, it is one of my jobs here to protect the site, keep it child safe and ensure that the small monetary stream isn't interrupted.

I am sure that you could say that you meant that OP8 blows bubbles even though we all know for a fact that that wasn't your intent.

PG-13 is a phrase we throw around here too much and we have had the discussion about what the MPAA rating of PG-13 entails.

Let me be very clear, our rules here on content are much stricter than PG-13, closer to PG. We have children that play this game and read these forums.

If you can't trashtalk or post without resorting to sexual innuendo or using curse words it's time for you to move along.

sigh - As much as it pains me to do this, I will try.

The forums would be a veritable free for all if people could simply manage to be civil. The admins love banter and heckling about the game, but I can't remember the last time that a good thread wasn't derailed within 20 posts because some player or another couldn't manage to keep their ego out of it and stick to the game. Personal attacks have no place in a game. Very few of us really know each other here, so when people start making personal assaults it goes too far.

I'm not saying that as a Staff we're perfcet, and I can't unilaterally defend every Staff action on the forums, but these actions generally stem from the same source...What source? Respect! Blast the gaming style, beg for features, banter irreverantly and all is good. Attack a player's real life ethics, morals or family, bash the (volunteer) Staff who do their best as they can to help things stay on track, or be just plain non-community driven beligerant and you can plainly see that you have deviated from gaming to egomaniacal madness. There is plenty of support for the former, and little for the latter.

I hope you keep posting and staying active on the forums, HOR, the forum needs players like you.
