Ok Patsdamn is an unlucky error :o. Fixed now.

But why change Kieve to Kyiv? They are both valid. Both named on most webpages and also on Google Earth. But on most cases, also on Google Earth, Kiev is named first.

The reason is that "Kiev" is Soviet tradition using russian language. After 1991 Ukraine became independent and native ukrainian name is Kyiv.

All other cities in Ukraine named according Ukrainian language.

e.g. Lviv (was Lvov in Soviet period)
Kharkiv (was Krarkov) etc.

Also I remember in beta it was changed but in alpha appeared again :(

I'll have to dive into that again. Here in Holland we just use Kiev still. Hasn't changed. I need some more info on that before I can change it. It's quite a radical change(because the name is so different I mean).
