The following cities may be good ones to add to Africa, they will fill up that huge empty space:

Bangui (The capital of the Central African Republic) : 700,000 (wiki)
N'Djamena (the capital of Chad) : 564,000 (wiki)
Niamey (Capital of Niger) : 665,918 (wiki)
Nouakchott (capital of Mauritania) : 881,000 (wiki)
Windhoek (Capital of Naminia) 231,000 (wiki)

Also added;

Kisangani, Demographic Republic of the Congo. - 500,000
Nyala, Sudan - 298,400
Port Sudan, Sudan - 300,000

Unfortunately the central north area of Africa (dessert) has no cities over about 70,000..... open area it is.
