I made some changes today:

From now on you need at least 1 city to make a transfer to another player.

This should be one of the final things we can do against fake accounts.
Till now a lazy person could just make 10 accounts and transfer the starting money to 1(it happened a lot).
Now he has to take the time to actually attack a city with it.
And while he plays with it, the chances are bigger that we catch him.

You can still receive geo's from other players if you don't own a city.

Luk...you're just making it harder and harder. I'm not a fake account, but I just don't have the money to get a city right now and I give money to my allies quite often. This is BAD!

Why is it bad if it goes a long ways towards making cheating impractical?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I have a REALLY hard time believing that you can't manage to hold a city.

I see it as a minor pin***** that is well worth it for the innoculation that comes with it :)

Heck, you want a city man? I'll even give you my hometown if it'd help make you feel better about this ;)

Exactly. That is what was on my mind.

Uberdude....don't tell me you can't occupy a small town somewhere.
How about Minneapolis :) ?

No, I've always said timme was the kind of guy that shies away from the spotlight. You'd make a great jedi.

This creates a big advantage to large alliances that is already occuring.
The players that were sitting back feeding the work horses with geos are now hopping into their buddies cities to transfer the funds.
Once the funds are transfered, the original owner can reoccupy, (or not if he has multiple cities) and the fuel man can go back to his business.

This has been discussed a 1000 times, and to prefend it from being discussed another 1000 times, I'm also closing the thread.
It's no big advantage to anyone. It's just setting the cheaters back, and making people play instead of silently saving up cash....which would cause a big problem in a few months and probably end the game then.
This is not just something that came to mind, this is necessary.
The players now really fight to gain something and I don't see why people who are not playing but just buying a few mines and such every day would get an advantage.
It also won't give big alliances any big advantage as the army upkeep costs now really work.
And as another extra, tons of cities(including small ones) have been added.
Everyone should start small and work your way up.
I don't, and most don't, want to see some newbie just take over a whole bonus city on his first attack....or worse....after 6 months he could take on the entire world.
This just makes you have to work your way up, like everybody else once did.
And it also make people have to attack, so big alliances will get attacked more often too. Not like last reset, where they got big because nobody attacked them.

Now....it's all up there in one post. :)
